I have both Lightroom and Canon Utility installed in my iMac. Although I have never tried it, I think Lightroom may work by itself without Canon Utility. You can stop autostart for Canon Utility.

Try to disable auto power off. I use 5D IV with iMac and don't have any problem at all.

I don't know why the AF micro-adjustment on my 5D IV stays off even I tried to turn it on. I even reinstalled the latest firmware. Sorry, problem solved.
