  • All wonderful choices. My dual lens option was based more on economy and a small footprint, but still covering a lot of focal lengths.
  • Created discussion thread Perfect Pair
Alternative to the holy trinity. Binity? My m4/3 choice for the two lens version of the holy trinity is the Olympus 14-150mm paired with the 9mm F2.8 Laowa.
  • Replied in DX Trinity?
For travel: 10-20mm Nikkor 35mm 1.8 DX Nikkor 55-200mm  (lightest weight)
  • Same camera as the OP. PLUS a Nikon D750 feature-wise (works with Ai, AF, AF-D, etc lenses) with no adapter , but the size and weight of the Nikon FM2/FE2. That would be perfect.

  • Yes, if you can live with 12MP, the Casio ZR-5000 has a 19mm (equivalent) lens. Casio ZR-5000 at the widest setting 19mm (equivalent)
  • True. In the film days  "40mm look" meant the same thing to almost everyone. If we say "I like the 40mm look" nowadays , that phrase is meaningless.
  • Thank you. Maybe 28/42FFE so that photo enthusiasts will understand what I'm trying to convey.
  • Created discussion thread Full Frame Equivalent Simplified
I hate having to keep writing "35mm equivalent" or "full frame equivalent" when I am describing the lens that I used to make the image. It is easier to write 28/42 to describe using a 28mm lens on ...
