goodgeorge: I am still quite surprised how many beginners spend so much money on Photoshop while we have Affinity for a few bucks or GIMP completely for free.

Have to agree with you goodgeorge
I use Serif Affinity and on1PhotoRaw and they are every bit as good as
Adobe LR, and PS,
and they can be downloaded as trial versions, They are also updated on a regular basis especially on1

tom1234567: well I'm glade to be away from Adobe and there fees per month,
as here in the U.K. they put prices up

So I'm quiet happy with on1PhotoRaw and Serif Affinity which does everything I need I use Fuji X-T2 AND Nikon D7200 and never have any problems with the software I use.

and I own my software and it is updated every month so things can only get better.

Adobe do good products but they are getting to expensive now, and there are good alternative products/software out there just a matter of downloading the trials and learning the new software.

Have a nice day all

But I don't PAY every month for the LICENSE

like Adobe users

tom1234567: well I for one have just canceled my Adobe cc package
I now use on1PhotoRaw and Serif Photo Affinity in place of LR and PS

and they are every bit as good infact on1 handles my Fuji X-T2 files better than LR
ever does
but hey Adobe make good products if monies is not a problem and you have deep pockets.

I just think they put profit before the customer and they are quiet arrogant if you have to phone them with problems that's my experience others may differ

well dquangt download the trial you will be astonished at how far on1 has come ,
2mths is a long time in development
don't be shy give it a try

On article Shooting experience: how the Nikon D7500 won me over (194 comments in total)

Waiting for the upgrade to the D7200
I don't want to downgrade to a lesser D7500,
its important I and others have two SD slots and the better IQ plus more,
which the D7200 has
a better upgrade from lesser Dxxxx would be the D7200
that's my point of view on the matter

phazelag: Its amazing when I see new DSLRs I don't even click on them anymore at all. I haven't for years now. I remember when I was so excited to see a new one and now I just smirk when I see them released. I try not to be jaded, I just can't play that game anymore.

you clicked on this one????

Fotoni: Nikon and video doesn't fit together. Mediocre video performance is common among many brands and models. 4K is not a magic cure for that. Internal 10-bit 4:2:2 full sensor readout supersampled 4K video is the standard for good video recording nowadays.

if I wanted a video camera I would buy one?

Just a castrated D500 but its certainly NOT an upgrade to the D7200 which has better IQ and two SD-slots which is important to any serious amateur photographer.
my opinion,
as a D7200 owner I will wait for proper upgrade to the D7200?? I hope

Nikon appears to be going Backwards

it does not matter how reviewers try to dress this d7500 up in my opinion

its a DOWNGRADE from the D7200,
one SD slot, smaller sensor, poorer IQ,
I was looking for a decent UPGRADE from the D7200 not this castrated D500 half effort

In reply to:

tom1234567: Is the Sony a9 worth $4500 Ans= no
but it will keep your hands warm in winter?
then again the Sony A10 will be out next week, as you will be aware Sony have no after sales service they just bring out a new camera when they have heating problems and banding problems,
that's what they done with the a6300 6mths later we got the a6500 ?

Tom G

it was the angry photographer that mentioned banding problems when it was goin through tests and Sony knows about it as far as I'm aware
