Why do you need an adapter? It's not a ttl flash so it should have a single pin on the bottom and trigger on most slr/dslr/mirrorless cameras without anything else.

Have you used any of the Nikon 70-200 f/2.8s? The new z mount is sharper wide open than my AF-S is at its best, and has better contrast and ghost/flare control. It's quieter and quicker as well....
