DENRAM: Unfortunately this will not be understood by UK members as you have the Prime Minister ( In flames ) and another Politian Nigel Farage who is not in parliament nor in his party, so not his deputy.

The deputy PM is Nick Clegg who is a Lib-Democrat ( another party ) who formed the majority government over the last 5 years.

This will all change in some way after 7th May.

Despite all the above (!!) I think it is a great entry.

Nice image - Like it

My apologies, you are absolutely correct.
My original idea, (and picture), for this challenge, was Cameron and Clegg.
I didn't like it, decided against it, and changed Clegg to Farage, as I thought that might be a bit more topical.

This was over a week ago, (when the challenge was announced). When I submitted the picture today, (in a bit of a hurry), I had forgot about my change of heart and wrote it up as for the original Cameron and Clegg version.

Zapirian: Good old Carrbridge. Hard to get an angle that hides the more modern buildings in the back on the bank :)

Thank you, yes it was.

RuthC: Just one bumblebee gives this excellent picture a focal spot, chirptees, and gives you a well deserved second place in this Botanical Jigsaw Puzzle challenge. This is a really beautiful picture of lavender-blue salvias. I really like the variations in the blues, from very light to very dark, and the tall purple stalks adding another colour dimension. A great capture. Ruth :-)

Thanks Ruth,
Very kind comments and another excellent challenge

RuthC: What a great capture, chirptees, and I can see that you had a lot of fun producing it! Many would say "What a waste of red wine!" Others might tell you "You'll have to clean up this mess when you've finished splashing around".... It's a very effective high key shot. Ruth :-)

Thanks Ruth, twice in the top 3 now! It is okay though, it was not a waste of red wine, it was a waste of coloured water and all done in my garage over a very large bucket!

Thank you Ruth, coming within the top three in such a competitive challenge, what an honour! Always well supported with some of the best images on DPR your regular 'best of the week' challenges are always fun, thank you.
As for the dog, he gets paid for all my photo shoots in biscuits at a favourable exchange rate, the last visit to the vets scales showed that he is getting paid a little too well, (or doing too many shoots)!
With hindsight, a few less photo shoots and he would have fitted into the small plastic child's bath a little better!!

On photo Splash2 in the Fast and responsive challenge (4 comments in total)

My wife threw a plastic glass of coloured water in the air spinning it as it went and I photographed it!
We did it outside for natural light and because of the mess, I just opened up a large pop up white backdrop and placed it in front of my garden fence.
