Inspired Shot: Doesn't matter how good the camera is really... It's a collector's item.

It is a perfectly usable camera but the choice is upto a buyer between using and keeping in the box.

As I said before the Q is a trump card held by Leica, we may see interchangeablelenses Q with top notch Q lenses. Just wait !

I actually appriciaye Leica strategy. Out of billons of people on this planet, convincing 250 people is not too hard. Kudos to Leica.

raylob: Leica cameras are fine but the gimmicky marketing behind these limited editions is cheapskate though the prices are not!

Wether it is worth or not Leica can not "afford" to sell their products at lower prices. By doing so they will enter in to a well of fierce competition. Very little rivalry at higher prices.

HowaboutRAW: From the subheadline on the DPR mainpage:

"The Leica Q2 ‘007 Edition’ camera will be limited to 250 units and retail (body-only) for $7,995."

Body only?

Also what's this body cap referenced in article? And the lens diaphragm image on the "body cap" is a reference to many of the opening credits of Broccoli produced Bond films.

Body containing lens eliments ?

The agent requires minimum.

I think Leica should issue a Money Penny Edition to complete the Q line.
The Q is a lovely camera and it is like a trump card !

One thing we/you can deny, whenever Leica is on the news page of DPR, it wakes up lots of people. No other name has that kind of magic.

Jonathan371: I owned this actual camera years ago. I bought it at a camera show and years later sold it to a friend who auctioned it about 5 years ago. Looks like its popping up again.

I can think of one name who can put this camera back in action. Malcolm Taylor.

I honsetly think that ZEISS should have made a history by consulting the worldwide camera enthusiasts for their opinions and feedback on and about the specs of such a camera before producing.--no removable battery, no removable storage-.
I know of an expensive modern digital camera with a wind-on lever that served nothing!

Mateus1: Instead of this oversized cam Zeiss shoud better bring digital version of its amazing Zeiss Ikon RF - one of the greatest RF camera.

Probably the bset suggestion.

Bigsensorisbest: All of which proves 28mm is the best all round focal length to carry, damn the manufacturers for deserting it (not leica today obviously)

@Bigsensorsbest, Actually I prefer 24mm because if you use it on a crop body (APSc) it is still wide(ish) around 35 or 36mm whereas 28mm becomes about 42mm. We are spolit with choices.
