Thanks! good to hear that it works well. I would hope that most adapters can at least do aperture control well, but that hasn't been the case for me in the past. I got a metabones adapter and it ...

In theory yes, but it also highly depends on whether or not your tasks at hand are memory bandwidth limited or not. It's always easy to add more RAM later if the slots are open.
-
I would expect RAM sticks in multiples of 6 in order to fully maximize the memory bandwidth of the processor(s).
-
Out of curiosity, why are you running 512 GB of Ram on a processor with 6 RAM channels?
-
Yeah I would personally want some storage that is a little easier to swap in and out than that, and also can take more than two SSD drives.
-
Would you ever consider using an ARM architecture processor such as the M1 Ultra, assuming it was built into a system with expandable storage?

I've ordered a number of lenses and they have always shown up in excellent condition, usually better than described. I haven't had to pay import taxes (USA) but my most expensive purchase from ...

As others have said, it highly depends on your market. I buy/sell used equipment quite frequently on the Fredmiranda.com forums and ebay in the United States. Ebay of course takes a much larger ...

This is exactly the problem with aliasing. It is indistinguishable from real signal in the image unless there is obviously something wrong. In this respect it is also of course very forgiving. ...

GFX 50S, 32-64mm @ 45mm, F/11. So diffraction should even be reducing the aliasing artifacts rather somewhat compared to worst case.
-
I've seen a couple other DPR uses do it, with success. Haven't done it myself though. If you do, just take it slow and be careful. Feisol is also really good about providing replacement parts, ...

Here is a natural scene showing aliasing. Full size image: And zoomed in way to the center: It's a total mess of false color and aliasing artifacts. I could probably print this no problem at ...
-
Still depends on the scene and the brain's ability to notice that there is something wrong in the image. I usually shoot scenes with a lot of high frequency detail that could cause aliasing like ...

The Feisol Tournament tripods have a notoriously narrow leg angle which really inhibits their performance. I have measured it at 19-20 degrees to the vertical whereas ideally tripods are more ...

Damn, must have been super icy up there for so many people to slip and fall so far. So sorry to hear of a death on the mountain. Many people going up don't know how to self arrest properly, but ...

Stiffness and damping are often at odds in tripod design. Damping of vibrations occurs when you have some sort of friction in the system to absorb energy. Loose leg sections rubbing against each ...

Well, it sort of depends on what aspect of image quality degradation you are referring to. In terms of image sharpness, lenses are already plenty good enough to benefit from the increase in ...

In my first physics lab course, the instructor told us that we were going to attempt to learn scientific record keeping, experimental design, and the quantitative analysis of results. The ...

Yeah the new Fuji X-H2S has an APSC 26MP stacked sensor. So clearly it isn't exactly the same architecture as the MP count is a bit off, but probably similar.
-
DX is a 1.5x crop from FX, so DX_MP = 45.7/1.5^2 = 20.3 MP.
Activity older than 12 months is not displayed.
