this is (by far) the best group of pix I've seen from Chris!

in aviation, safety dictates design. Handles on diff controls are not the same shape. Example: flaps and gear handles are never alike.

Why in the heck would RRS use the same quick-release handles on the arca release and the "ball" friction? (& so close together!)
= accident waiting to happen

rashid7: wow, 2nd review in a row (g100) that i find faulty. I don't think you came remotely close to giving this lens its due... perhaps because you don't do rigorous testing for sharpness. Dustin Abbott found it to be waaaay sharper than the bigger and pricier sony 24-240, and others have confirmed. I would find these advantages (along w/ F-stop) way bigger priorities than the extra range and oss!

ha ha ha

there's also a 20 min video review by Gordon Lang. Again, results look nothing like C & J's!

this is for Chris & Jordan (i couldn't find a comments option on their video review).
I've followed you2 since your days w/ the camera store, and enjoy the entertainment... but you are about to lose my interest. You really F-d up the quality of your V-log footage in the review. A comparison w/ other reviews shows this dramatically. How did you so totally screw up the quality and CAF?! You need to do a quick do-over. Please, do not pass "GO", do not collect 200, do not wait for final review of the production version. U SCREWED UP, and need to set the record straight (&protect your credibility)

hey everyone, i just finished watching Richard Wong's excellent video review of G100:

http://www.photobyrichard.com/reviewbyrichard/panasonic-lumix-g100-g100-review/

It is more than twice as long as Chris & J's preview; much more thorough and revealing. [BtW, if you aren't familiar w/ him, he is excellent and much easier to watch than Robin!!]

WHAT A DIFF ANOTHER REVIEW MAKES! I'm normally a fan of C & J, but now that i've seen this one, i have to say their's was a substandard (crap) review. If you recall, all the Vlog footage was of poor quality and out of focus half the time. In contrast, RW's is excellent, both in quality and in-focus 95%+ of the time. It does render excellent 1080, and he describes the audio as a game-changer. He thoroughly demonstrated the crops for 4k and E-stab. He also did a good test of CAF by moving fwd and back, and in/out of frame.

Guys there's nothing wrong w/ the CAF in 1080! seriously

how could you give the lowest mark (out of 13 variables) to "value"?!
I should think that would be one of the highest criteria

perhaps... but not necessarily. I did study philosophy in college... and it has been a bit of a continuing interest to me
