About me:

I am a professional photographer with 40+ years in the field. Most of my work is in the corporate and PR fields. I am also pretty new to the digital world (about 3 years since I put the Leicas in the safe and sold the Nikon F-2's - I used them up until about a year ago!) - on eBay. That means I will probably ask some dumb questions from time to time. Bare with me.

  • Created question thread Non Olympus Flash/Cord with E-M1?
Just unpacked my E-M1 and downloaded manual (my printer is begging for a break!) and started watching a few YouTube videos. Clearly lots of info and lots to learn about my new camera ..... and ...
  • Thanks Greg (and to ALL!) for the quick and overall helpful replies. Looks like the consensus is that switching from the Canon 50d's to the “new” E-M II will still let me turn out essentially the ...

  • Thank you Peter - One other vague concern (I say "vague" because it is just that) is that there don't seem to be many after market accessories for 4/3.  Example: walking around the Expo floor, I ...
  • Created discussion thread Switch to OM D E-M1?

  • Created discussion thread 10 - 18mm : EF, EFS or STM?
I was looking at a Canon 10-18mm on line and came across that lens listed as EF, EFS and STM. Just as a point of comparison, has anyone used more than one of these? I guess what I really want to ...
