On article Samsung NX1 Review (1265 comments in total)

I purchased the NX1 package with the 16-50mm S lens, battery grip, extra battery, battery charger, etc from B&H Photo. The NX1 is well-built, and the menu system is easy to use. The 16-50mm S lens is wonderful, and I'm looking forward to getting the 50-150mm S lens soon.

Samsung knows how to write a proper camera manual that is easy to follow.

My wife's birthday is coming up soon, and I am going to get her the NX500. Perfect for her needs!

Cal22: Samsung should offer an EVF as an accessory: Many potential customers will turn their back to this interesting camera because you can't buy an EVF!

Not my wife. She uses her iPhone 5S a lot, so the NX500 camera is just perfect for her. For me, I have the NX1 camera with the 16-50mm S lens. Love it!

Macintosh Sauce: Too bad it will probably have the same crappy metal/plastic E-mount. :/

@ ET2 Remains to be seen.

@ helltormentor Dunno. Once available in the rest of the world, we'll find out soon enough.

@ Stu Thanks. I missed that. Most likely all metal E-mount now.

goshigoo: Panasonic is really doing very well recently (except the 42.5 f/1.2, but we can just ignore it since we already have 45 f/1.8)

The recent releases of GM1 / GX7 / GH4 / 15 / 12-32 and the upcoming 35-100 are on the right path of m43; the true spirit of m43
in terms of pricing and portability

I hope we will see a 8mm pancake prime or 9-18mm from panasonic soon

Upcoming 35-100 mm lens? I thought there already was a Lumix 35-100 mm lens - the weather-sealed one. :-/

showmeyourpics: For a long time as an outdoor photographer I could not find a better balance of features, ergonomics and price than with the Olympus OM2n and its Zuiko lenses. I am happy that with their E-M camera system Olympus is back to that level of quality. I love exploring and my photography is always challenging, requiring getting up at some ungodly hours, a well supplied backpack and being ready for some tough weather. I am lucky to live close to B&H and visit monthly to check out the new toys. Last week, I had the E-M10 in my hands for a while. I left asking myself how it was possible not to fall in love with it. Minimum size and weight but excellent build quality, beautiful EVF and LCD, good control layout, awesome features and customization, and a sensor that can give you fine-art quality poster prints through a good ISO range. If I compare my beloved Pentax K5 with the two DA* f/2.8 zooms to the E-M10 (or the weatherized E-M1) with the equivalent M43 pro zooms at comparable prices ...

Um... The HD Pentax lenses that Ricoh released have a new coating on the lens. Much better from what I've seen!

The price is not important.

I think so too. I think they are just testing different technologies. Personally, I am waiting to hear something about the NX30.

panoviews: Quite similar to the Sigma SD1... LOL

If the Samsung Galaxy NX was about $999 with the 18-55mm lens I'd even consider getting it. Not at that price though. I tried a NX300 in a store a few weeks ago, and I was really impressed with the hybrid AF on it. Not a bad camera IMO. Their NX lenses have a better lineup than Sony, and DxO rated some of the NX lenses very highly. Personally, I'm waiting for the NX30 though. :)

This is interesting, because they come in both black and silver. This must mean that Ricoh is going to release black and silver versions of the new K-3/K-3s. :D

I'm waiting for the new K-3s - I will be all over that with the five DA Limited primes. :)

Shamael: I prefer a cellphone to remain a cellphone, and a camera to reamin a camera, and if possible without ant wi-fi functions. It will permit me to remain a photographer. To be able to continue my hobby, why do i need a cell phone, a wi-fi connection and even video in a camera. This is crap, useless brainwash. I bought a camera recently for my wife, the first I did was open it and diconnect the wi-fi. If someone wil criticize this now, let it be. You all will understand some day in a near future, why I do this. It has in all times been uselss to try to teach people that are brainwashed and rotten by any religion, and Wi-Fi has become one, one that will kill more people than any religion before did and will.

I think you forgot to take your meds today.

justmeMN: According to camerasizecom it's 17% wider, 12% taller, and 22% heavier than the Canon SL1 / 100D DSLR.

I thought the point of mirrorless cameras was to be light and compact.

This has got to be the most stupid camera I've ever seen. :/

I decided I'm going Micro Four Thirds, especially after getting our niece a new Lumix G5 with 14-42mm and 45-150mm lenses for $488 on Amazon. What an excellent mirrorless camera! :)

I want a GH3 with a battery grip, but I would rather have the rumored GH5 that is supposed to be announced soon. My wife? I think I'm going to get her the GX7 when it comes out.
