In case of the R10 did you notice any improvements in the JPEG/RAW detail capturing and DR versus the M50, M200, etc? I wonder what ‘new’ really means for this 24MP sensor.

Not sure if it’s safe or not (commercially speaking) but my M50 should still work for a long time. Having 5 M lenses (11-22, 22, 15-45, 18-150 and 28), plus an EF 70-300, and usually not shooting ...

I don’t like them either. Nothing like having some buttons, dials and, in my case, a viewfinder. Most of my photography is done in sunny days, I can hardly see what I am photographing with a ...

Come on, Canon is not Lada (you had to buy a second car just for the parts) 😂

It would be so nice if they gave us an M to R adapter, with glass or any other trick to make it work. But not sure if that’s even possible or commercially interesting for them.

did not realize that lens was this old…thanks for sharing. Having a 24-105 f4 for my RP already maybe the best (budget) strategy is to buy the tiny RF 16 2.8 for those moments when 24 is just not ...

Nikon managed to create a tiny, collapsible 16-50 aps-c lens for their huge Z mount, which received good reviews. It beats this (rumored) 18-45 in both ends of the zoom range so I am looking ...

Announcement is (supposedly) in less than 2 days, should we expect starting to see those leaked images and more specs tomorrow? It does not seem like Canon officially scheduled any events yet.

For portability I am good with my M50 and lenses like the 15-45, 18-150, 22, 11-22, etc. Unless the R10 brings a ground breaking new 24MP sensor in terms of IQ, I would rather buy an M6II before ...

took my 15-45 for another walk this morning...found this 'dead' tree sun bathing

Thank you both for the tips!

My guess, $799 body only, $999 with 18-45 and $1199 with $18-150

Here are 2 from today, got to the park a couple of hours too late and the light was very harsh. Did some bracketing, stacked the photos and played with local adjustments in LR.

If you don’t mind a bulkier combo the 70-300 USM II will give you 480mm reach in the M50 and (an important consideration right now) can also be used in any future R cameras you may buy (crop or ...

I hear mostly positive comments about this lens, a pitty (if the rumor is right) that Canon couldn’t manage a similar focal range in the new RF-S lens, something like 15-150 mm instead of 18-150 mm.
-
Very nice shot, the fog/haze left in the air still gives it a nice painterly look
-
Correct, if it’s a full frame lens that could be used in both FF and APSC cameras we are all going to be very happy. Being APS-C only, unless it’s a tiny high performer, it seems a step back from ...
-
The other concern I have with this rumor is the focal range of the kit lens, if it’s not a full frame lens. Nikon released a positively reviewed and tiny Dx 16-50 (equiv to 24-75) and the ef-m ...

I still hope it is…would like to have a consumer UWA zoom for my RP that could also work as a small walk around lens for a crop R body I buy in the future. If it is not, I need to either get the ...
