Thanks. I understand your viewpoint as well. Mixing and matching bodies and lenses can be much fun, especially if crop factor comes into play. I just think that images generated using the 61MP ...

I cannot see "dumbing down" the A7RV by using only half of the sensor, especially with the stellar 24-70 GM2 and the 20-70 available. Those are the lenses I use with my A7RV and use the excellent ...
-
I have owned both and the output is similar. Big bonus that the 200-600 does not telescope while with the 100-400, there is the weight benefit. Both lenses pale in comparison with the 70-200 ...

I really dislike 18-135 and higher X telephoto lenses (like the 18-200) for ILC but do like the zoom fixed lens, the 24-600, of the Sony RX10IV. Too many compromises with those types of lenses, be ...

I thought both the 16-55 and the 18-50 very similar quality-wise. I absolutely love the size of the 18-50 but also really appreciated having the wider 16-55. Ultimately, size won out..the key ...
-
I have owned the 16-55 and currently the 20-70 and the 24-70 GM2. Thank you for your opinion but I'll stick with my FF lenses on the A7RV and use my Sigma 18-50mm with my A6700. The 16-55 is nice ...
-
Agreed, but what I'd be doing is selling the 16-55 and buying one of the ever increasing FF lens options! I'd want to maximize the potential of the A7RV.
-
I'd much rather use the 16-55 on my A6700 and the 24-70 GM2 on my A7RV..the 24-70 GM2 is the better lens and I get the benefit of the higher resolution image, better DoF and superior DR. Use the ...

If price is not an issue, the A7CR is an easy choice. For me, the MP difference makes the decision very easy to make.

I own the 24-70 GM2 and the 20-70 f4. I enjoy shooting with the 20-70 so much that I use it more frequently than the 24-70. I'm loathe to give up the 20-23 range and in general, find that f4 more ...

Two weeks since the first post. Maybe after a month has passed the OP will provide the lens info..

All well and good. Thanks for the comparison. 525 vs 600 is no big deal. The differences in AF-C tracking for the RX10IV vs. the A6700? MASSIVE. The ability to zoom while shooting? A big deal ...
-
I've owned the RX10IV since it was released in 2018. The camera is still the best bridge zoom camera ever sold IMO. I'm more than a tad surprised that Sony has yet to put out an RX10V..the lens ...
-
The issue with the RX10IV is not the lens, which is spectacular. The RX10IV AF-C tracking seriously pales in comparison with the A6700. Also, one cannot zoom while shooting with the RX10IV while ...

I own and love the RX10IV. I upgraded to the A6700 and the Sigma 18-50mm plus the Sony 70-350. I also own an A7RV. The A6700 is my hiking+biking camera..amazing AF-C vs the aging RX10IV.

Yes Reilly, I had pointed out that the benefit of primes is that fast ones (better than f2.8) are avaliable. These ~2x zooms? For many with high MP sensor cameras, cropping will easily suffice.
-
In this age of high MP sensors, these limited zoom lenses have less appeal (especially with the option of buying faster primes).

FYI, Roseate Spoonbills get their pink coloration from the foods they eat. Crustaceans and other aquatic invertebrates contain pigments called carotenoids that help turn their feathers pink.
