Either a poppy pod that looks like a vase, or a vase that looks like a poppy pod. Very sneaky with the soft focus. I like this challenge.

A first class shot of some ordinary objects. I agree, they look like inexpensive plastic chairs.

On photo Hit It Right There in the Billboard: Hammerin' man challenge (8 comments in total)

Where you hold the hammer depends on the situation. For most American house framing it's usually best to grip near the end for maximum leverage and driving power. For some situations, like driving nails overhead or in tight quarters, a choked up grip is better. For hitting a nail while taking a picture, a slightly choked grip worked fine since the hammer was medium heavy at 20 ounces. I made my living as a carpenter for 25 years, so I guess you could say I I qualify as a professional.

Some clarification please. Do you want to see a person working with tools, or a woodworking project without humans. Thanks

Edoveral,
The grainy look of the picture came from two things: I used F/4, so the depth-of-field was pretty small as it was concentrated on the head of the hammer. In addition, the lighting was from one partially-shaded floodlight only, and the shutter speed had to be fast enough to catch the powder on the nail head, so the ISO had to be pretty high.

I think the photographer didn't have straight face... and neither did I. 5 stars! Great photo.

I get sweaty hands just looking at this photo. And it's because of the danger, not the girl. Well done.

I'm really looking hard for a Ford Thunderbird, but not having any luck. It helps tremendously to read the challenge description before submitting a photo. Nice mushroom, though.
