SD Quattros have a removable IR filter so it's not a question of wether it works or not.. It's a fact.

How does the sensor handle highlights? The Phase One’s monochrome sensor is very good at this. My Q2M’s not so (though I still adore it and meter to account for this).

I was shooting portraits for the first time with my Canon 85mm 1.4. I found ears out of focus very off-putting. Had to stop it down. To f4 or f5.6 for acceptable results.
