About me:

First steps in photography towards the end of the film area in the late nineties. Sporadic moments of fascination with picture making without really being fully drawn in. Radical change and creative power surge after acquiring my first digital camera (Canon S45), reinforced by the acquisition of my first DSLR (Nikon D200).
Slow dawning over the years as to which themes and motives fascinate me most and how my photographic approach works. Currently desperate attempts at finding time to sort through the heaps of amassed pictures and (most importantly) to take pictures and to make use of them (printing, portfolio, online gallery).
Core photographic interests: architecture (mainly modern), wide open landscape with sparse elements, graphic abstract compositions.
Particular focus on composition, partitioning of space, arrangement of lines, picture balance

karlkk: when gallery pics are magnified to 100% - there's not much difference at say , above 800 Iso , between an old D70 and the new D500.
There's no person on earth who'll agree to a blind test of telling which pic was shot by which camera .Sorry guys , cameras have become similar to wine on this respect.

The D70 was a 6.1MP camera...
