Can second the recommendation for the Godox TT350f. It's been fantastic on my XT-30. A great flash for Fuji at an amazingly reasonable price. :)

There are lots of very boring, pixel peeping debates on internet photography forums. X-Trans vs. Bayer is one of the most boring. It's right up there with brick wall lens testing photography, iso ...

You answered your own question there, I think. You enjoy the files from your Fuji cameras and that's all that really matters. Lots of people would agree with you, which is why the system is going ...

Taken somewhere in the middle of nowhere in regional South Australia. Fuji XT-30, XF 18-55 and 6 jpegs stacked unskillfully in Sequator. I like the effect with a torch on the windmill.

Thanks all for your comments and suggestions, as well as tweaked pictures. It seems to be an issue with AWB, clipping of the red / channel and I could have picked a more neutral film simulation. ...

Yep, I usually shoot RAW+JPEG and the first time I've just gone JPEG in years, is the first time I really need that RAW file......go figure. The buffer on the XT-30 fills up pretty quickly though ...

Good point...I'll give Astia a go. I usually shoot Classic Chrome for most of my photography but went to Provia / std thinking it would be more neutral / default for the kids soccer. Didn't think ...

Great suggestion. I've had this camera for awhile now and have been using the X series since the X100 and XPro-1, but have never tried that color chrome setting. You learn something everyday. I ...

Thanks, Morris. It was a cloudy overcast morning and I was using Auto white balance. I usually shoot JPEG+RAW and normally would have tried your suggestion here to desaturate the reds. However, I ...

Hi guys, What do you think is the best Fujifilm film simulation on an XT-30 to shoot natural looking reds is? Reason for the question is I was taking pictures of my daughters soccer today with the ...

On the Heron, I think your shutter speed is too low for a really critically sharp shot handheld at that focal length. 1/250 @ 400mm f/5.6 (wide open at maximum telephoto). People overrate IS. It ...

Just what I was thinking. If they had just bought some decent Seiko or ETA movement and placed it into their own (or sort of own design / partially borrowed), then no interest at all. Their own...

They way he turns up the saturation and contrast hurts my eyes....no matter what sort of camera he uses. Just horrible post processing.....

Agree with his sentiments, especially the last two paragraphs regarding the online, always connected world. Tired of it as well and would love to see an upswing in still photography. However, ...

Wow, that last shot is something special and a real stand-out. Love the "don't mess with me while I'm eating look there".... A real Nature, Red in tooth and claw moment....

Sorry, I just can't get beyond the price of the machine! Would rather spend the money on new cameras and lenses that will add to my photography, or even a trip away to a great photoshoot, than this...

A good hike through Belair with the XT-30, XF-60 and testing the new Godox flash. Orchid season and the spider orchids were especially interesting (weird). And a shy Echidna, though the picture is ...

Thanks for the reply, really appreciate it. That's the one that I thought would work (the R1C Canon one with the 2.5mm plug), but your the first person that's confirmed it. I'll give it a go!

They certainly have a great enclosure for them. Very large and open, with plenty of trees to swing in! :)

Here's a few pics I took at Adelaide Zoo, back in July. I only got around to looking at them today. All taken with the XT-30 and 18-55, so most are at 55mm. Totally the wrong lens for animals, but ...
