They try to make it sound hip and trendy by using the word "borrow", making allusions to the modern-day "sharing economy" but the proper verb is "rent".

Must say these new Fuji's do start to look very convincing, as does their lens line-up...
I went the Sony APS-C mirrorless route a few years back, a decision just based on camera specs, but I always was jealous of the Fuji's handling. Maybe now it's time to switch?

All of that may be true, all I'm saying is: the picture that started this whole discussion is _not_in_any_way_ meant as artistic.

Once you start to confuse genres, you'll be forever reading things into pictures that weren't supposed to be read - and are therefore nonsensical.

On further consideration, the question is what kind of picture this is. If it was a product shot you'd be totally right - nothing should distract from the product, you'd need bland hands, without any peculiarities.

But a hands-on report from a trade fair is something different than a product shot.

@smiler - the best I can make of your reply is, apparently the perception of - or even focus on - poorly trimmed nails differs from one culture to the other. I've read that gangsters in macho Colombia spend hours every week in nail studios. In Holland however, no self-respecting tough guy could do that without risking being called a wimp.

But then again, too much cultural relativism kills any interesting statement.

A good IBIS-sytem would be a quantum-leap for usability of MF camera's! Dreaming of such a camera with fixed 'normal' prime (fixed to keep its size small and dust out)

Something for you to consider, generally: unlike the world you appear to live in, out there in the real world are REAL people, not Walt Disney-like photoshopped silicon fakes. So yes they look real, too. Frightening huh?

Yes bit of a bummer - not that I'm scheduled to win the lottery anytime soon, but if I WAS, yes I'd prefer manual aperture ring, and shutter and iso dial to go with it. And IBIS, as mentioned above - if there's any camera where you'd want that, it's in MF!
