What I can't get my head around is, this 'doughnut' is umpteen zillions of light years away and we are seeing the 'light' it emitted all those years ago. It's probably not there any more ;-)

'Without' tightening the locking wheel, how tight is the foot in the hot shoe. Can it wiggle to any degree? Is there anything other than the locking wheel to stop any wiggle and keep the sight aligned?
