I do not use MF, but I have owned both WR lenses the new 1,4 and the old F2. The old F2 is not a bad lens, except for close subject wide open, but the 1,4 is really great at F2. I took a lot of ...

IQ wise the best lens , is the 200 mm F2, but I don't have it. Among my lenses, perhaps the best one IQ wise is the 56 mm 1,2 wR. The 23 mm 1,4 is also a great lens : fast AF, flawless Optical ...

my favorite lens is the 33 mm 1,4. It's not the best lens , but it's my favorite.
-
The 23 mm is not really a portrait lens.
-
The 90 mm F2 has a better AF. It's better for any fast action.

Same for me . Sold the 10-24 after buying the Viltrox at an insanely low price.
-
Perhaps you have a bad copy. Stopped down my copy is sharper than my 10-24. It also less prone to flare at 13 mm (I have compared them side by side). BTW a prime is not a zoom, and in many ...

Stopped down at F5.6 most lenses are fine ...

received mine today Impressive IQ (sharpness and bokey wide open) sub par AF great quality of construction insufficient minimum focusing distance

A 600 F5,6 is as big and expansive as a 300 f2,8 (it's a 300 2,8 with at TC 2) I like the idea of a 400 F4,5 like Nikon. Not too much expansive, light weight (slightly bigger than the 200 F2) , ...

I have sold all my Canon gear last year. The Fuji was sharper, but I did not remember any problem with the AF of the Canon
-
That's why you have great lenses in your gear list ;-)
-
No lenses perform worse, except in the corners, but your point is still valid. It was just a precision.

Enjoy your vacation. Technology as improved since the 5dmk3 . The only thing that lack in the fuji X system is Tilt shift lenses like the 17 mm. Otherwise, the XT5 has more pixel, less banding , ...

Thanks for the feedback : it's nice to see that FW3 is a real improvement.

It depends on your lenses, and if you want sharp pictures at 100 % crop, or sharp image at printing size.

I have sold many lenses in germany (and bought a TC 1.4). Very happy with them, even if they are picky about the lens condition.

Strange , the JPEG files are bigger with the XH2 (totally expected) but the RAW file is smaller. I have no explanation. Perhaps a compressed raw file for the XH2 ?
-
I will recommand the Fuji or the Sigma. I just used the 50 mm F2 : the best F2 lens of the F2 line up ( except the 90 mm F2 and 200 F2, but for me they don't belong to the F2 line)
