Crazy Leica Fox: "Made in the British Isles"? That's oddly vague. Is it made in the UK or Ireland? They could have said 'Made in Europe', 'Made in the Northern Hemisphere', or 'Made on Earth' and also been correct.

"Britain isn't part of Europe." So where do you think it is?

RCicala: It's interesting to read all the different perspectives on this. I handle well over 1,000 Nikon repairs a year and stopped using Nikon's service a couple of years ago. We get much more accurate and quicker repairs from one ASC then we ever get from Nikon (and I realize there are a lot of crappy ASCs too).

I've yet to see a monopoly that improved service, but maybe this will be a first.

Sorry, late at the party here....but what's an ASC? I couldn't work out what that acronym stands for.

DPReview Awards 2019 - Runner up: Peak Design Travel Tripod ..... which won't be available before some time in 2020. So how does it qualify it for a 2019 award?

Petr M: I Havel version 8.3 and it's work fine with my Nvidia Quadro K2200, new version 8.4 cannot find it even with last drivers installed, why? I have to wait for new update Adobe. Strange is that in camera raw in Photoshop the local adjustments with brushes work fluently, same with Lightroom is very slow...

I have a Nvidia Quadro K2200 and LR 8.4 can see it.

panther fan: Boycotting a mount could be an interesting thought experiment for third party manufacturers.
I am not sure but maybe they already have enough leverage in the game. And by saying, we don't support Z-mount and insteady endorse mount Y are able to create enough pressure on a vendor to open their mount.

Again I am not quite sure they have that amount of leverage yet. But on the other hand in a dying market it might actually work on a vendor fearing their market share loss

@Fly18
"What would anyone buy a Tamron over the superior Nikon Z lenses?!"
The (new) Tamron 90mm is superior to the Nikon 105mm macro lens. That's why it would be nice if i could use it on a Z7.

Maybe they are right after all..

ZERO POST-PROCESSING...so does it mean in camera jpg letting the camera do the processing?

Considering that DPreview has a world-wide audience would it be too much to ask if you could also show dimensions in metric units?

I traveled on this train twice in 1974. Looks like it hasn't changed much. The short film is very pretty but that also gives it a view that's too romanticized. Managing to create a professional film in the horrendously dusty conditions of the Mauritanian railway is really admirable though!

How is the tribe doing almost 10 years later? Did they manage to find a solution that works for everybody with the park authorities?
Have you been back recently and shown them the book?

Hopefully you'll be able to do it in person as well

I'll rephrase then: "we also end up having no idea of why they are threatened by climate change" Better?
