I totally disagree with your evaluation of the camera, but if you feel this way, by all means get something else.

I got an A68 specifically for my Minolta 100-400 APO and it works a little better than the adapted A7ii.
-
Sounds like you want a FF camera.

You said it well. A lens serves a function and different lenses are best for different functions. Most advice I see would be very different from my own usage.

The answer to this is dependent on your needs, not that of others on this forum. Shooting sports are subjects at short distance it's a great lens, but if you want to shoot wildlife you need the ...

I'm not familiar with iPhone but if this was from a DSLR or Mirrorless camera it would definitely be dust spots on the sensor. Dust spots on the lens don't actually show up on a picture. Of ...

No way on earth I'm paying their price for a @% Phone anyway.

Stabilization makes it very useable without a tripod except in low light at long shutter speeds. Of course, I've sound that true with 400mm as well with my Sony stabilized cameras.

I'm very happy with the Tamron 70-300. Size and weight were the major attraction although price didn't hurt any either.

Definitely agree. I currently use an A68 with my old Minolta 100-400 APO as a wildlife camera along with my A7ii-24-105 for general use and carry both when out shooting. I'm looking at an A6600 ...

,The FF definitely would be more printable in the large sizes you mention and taken with a good lens and the tripod it would be hard to miss. I would still take the RX00 along. It is small and ...

I would put the Minolta 100-400 APO very near the top of that list.

There is ALWAYS something newer and better just around the corner. The A7C technology isn't all that old and you miss a heck of a lot of photo ops waiting for a newer camera.

I suspect you will be amazed.

I use a standard zoom on my FF for scenery and a long zoom on my APS-C for wildlife, especially when driving or hiking.

Gave mine to my Grandson with the kit lens and a Minolta 100-300 and bought an A68 to use with my Minolta 100-400 APO and Tamron 28-270 as a backup to my A7ii.

I just got a Tamron 70-300 and have found it serves very nicely, although, of course something in the 400 to 600 range would often be nice for wildlife. The downside of these is they are very ...

Your suggestions work for you, which seems to specialize in low light, wide angle usage. The 4.0 of the Sony 24-105 isn't really that slow and will fit most needs by boosting ISO settings. The FL ...
