(unknown member): Unfortunately since Steve Jobs Death, Apple is hiding more and more into the shadow of what once used to be. Both hardware and software are getting ridiculous (even more ridiculous than the golden drone)
The good thing is Microsoft is bridging the gap and i'm afraid we might have to change "boat".

Windows is terrible, which is why it's been completely dominant in the desktop for the last couple of decades, whereas MacOS has never exceeded 5% market share. You can also run it as a high end server, which is also done a lot.

And iOS isn't a serious operating system - it's a glorified launcher. Kind of like MS-DOS v5.0. Maybe when the version number gets into the triple digits will it get around to supporting true multitasking

vscd: I'll take a Thinkpad anytime. Started with a 770Z and still typing this text on a X240. It has to be black, reliable and most important: with a dull screen. The crux of Apple lies in the closed OS and the tripping hazards everywhere...

raundance, how much are you getting paid to post up all the vitriol on Windows?

Daniel L: Hardcore Mac user here and i am piissed at what Tim is doing to Apple, Steve Jobs died second time Today. It is a disgrace for Pro user with this garbage update and where the F is the iMacs? Mac pro?

This is what 4 years of engineerings do? Emoji bar? Take connectivity out with less usability on the machine itself? Shame!

Thinner is proven bad for air circulation, i CANNOT use a suit up, over $3k MBP 2015 to dual monitors without hearing the fans noise at distort level, so loud i thought it's going to blow up. Bring back the brick is a better option and Yeah, i have to shut off one monitor so i can play 4k video in a ice cool room. (pathetic)

More dongle, I spend $250 a a thunderbolt 2 hub just last year and it appears to be phase out now. So to get the new useless junk MBP, i need T3 or USB-C, a new platform hub!? Not only that, i have to carry one if USB port is needed because there are none? Did i mention the damn hub drop wifi speed too, 3 times as much? i'm very skeptical.

Apple likes to be highly proprietary and make money off the peripherals. It has nothing to do with innovating technology.

Ayoh: 16GB RAM limit cripples so many engineering software tools, but then again most don't support Mac anyway. But then this overprices product is not for serious work anyway but for "creative design". Meh

Can you provide some detail, and not just conjecture, on how Windows memory management is so much worse than MacOS?

Favorable Exponynt: Welcome to Toms Hardware review

If laptops that can be used for photo editing are going to be reviewed/reported/whatever-you-want-to-call-it, perhaps ones from other manufacturers could written about too.

So AF accuracy improvement is only with the mount? No improvement when the lens used without the mount?

If it does this much for distance galaxies, imagine what it will do for your nature and wildlife photos.

Some detail around subjects is blurry. Might look OK on an iPhone.

Robert Zanatta: Can't believe that Samsung is going to crush all the phones, and that they can't find the cause of the problem. Smells fishy.

Owners should go with the S7. It's a solid device that is better than the alternatives listed in the article.

You don't like using the S7?

Frank C.: AAPL's earnings are too dependant on phone sales unlike Samsung, they must feel they dodged a bullet. Note 8 is going to be that much better.

Apple without the iPhone would have a lot less revenue than Microsoft.

PhotoUniverse: Get a Pixel if you want to stick to Android

If spending that kind of money it would be better to get a phone like the S7.

Only if the battery is the problem.

HeyItsJoel: Of all the bad things android users say about the iPhone, at least one they can't say is that it threatens your life by spontaneous combustion.

Even iPhones have had battery issues (including the iPhone 7). Laptops have issues too (HP had a large recall), as do cars and airliners.

Current lithium batteries aren't 100% safe.
