clicstudio: People should stop crying over the fact that flagship phones will cost around $1000. Smart phones have become the center of people's lives in most cases. Who cares if it's $700 or $900 or $1110. People will sell their soul to own one. Phones are the new status symbol, like watches and jewelry were before. Some still pay thousands of dollars for a Rolex that only tells time.
Smartphones are here to stay and if u are afraid of $1000, then get one of those cheap Chinese knockoffs for $200 and stop whining.
Besides with the 12 month lease options available, anyone can afford a $45 monthly payment and always be up to date with the latest model.

Yea, but that Rolex will still have great value in 10 yrs time. The iPhone will be obsolete in a few years.

At only $40 it's a must buy for me.

Nikon just announced the AF-S DX 35 mm f1.8 G for $196.96. Now that's value.

Good for Fuji but I would prefer a 35 mm equivalent lens instead. A "fifty" isn't practical for me and never has been.

Thanks Fuji. 😀

I guess there are no faults with the D4 to warrant a new firmware.

Lots of reports of faster AF. Could this be true?

Red G8R: I've been waiting for a macro but this one is too big.

I may just go with the 60 mm. I was hoping for a new 60 or 90 mm with 1:1 magnification.

I will replace my D600 with the D750. The AF alone is worth the upgrade.

On article Nikon to offer D600 replacements if 'spots' continue (175 comments in total)

I'm happy with my D600. I never had the dust issue but Nikon Canada still changed my shutter when it went in for a free routine service. It came back looking brand new and now I also have the comfort of knowing that it will be replaced if needed.
How much more can one expect. Nikon has my loyalty.

Based on the photos, the build quality looks great. But I'm not keen on anything that requires manual focus.

There are always extreme cases where laws are needed protect the public such as preventing the paparazzi from hounding someone.

I took my D4 and D600 bodies in to Nikon Canada, Missassauga, last Friday for routine cleaning and service (as per Canadian warranty). I have no obvious dust issues but now I assume they will be replacing my D600 shutter. It's only been two business days so no news as yet. The new shutter may help resale if and when I do.

Of the three latest mirrorless cameras, EM1, A7/R, and the XT1, the XT1 appeals to me the most and as soon as it's available, I'll be trying it and most likely buying it.

Lets hope the full review with native lenses are more favourable. Despite the great output I've seen by these cameras, there seems to be too many cons from users and reviews that I've elected not to buy for now.
