Muggo's current gear

Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS50 (Lumix DMC-TZ70)
Canon EOS 5D Mark IV
Canon EF 135mm F2L USM
Very impressive for its size & cost. Not so great at high ISO & poor light though.
A recent upgrade from 6D. Seems to do everything very well. Sophisticated AF system.
Very sharp & fantastic for people & places. Great bokeh.
Canon EF 16-35mm F4L IS USM
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM
Canon EF 35mm F2.0
Replaced my 17-40 for the IS. Interiors in low light are great.
Magnificent. Great colours & sharpness. A bargain at the price. My walkabout lens.
Great lens for the price.
Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L USM
Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM
Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | C
Excellent IQ, even wide open. Not too heavy for hand held walkabout either. Just not quite long enough for wildlife.
Better at f8 than f6.3 at long end so needs lots of light. Vibration Control doesn't seem as effective as claimed (use 1/250sec or faster). Not bad for the price, but not as good as I hoped. Usually soft images.
Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG HSM Art
Tamron SP 90mm F2.8 Di VC USD 1:1 Macro
Very, very sharp. Half a star off for no weatherproofing. Very heavy for its size.
Low cost, sharp, decent macro & doubles as a portrait lens.

Muggo's previous gear

Canon EOS 6D
Canon EOS 700D (EOS Rebel T5i / EOS Kiss X7i)
Canon EF 50mm F1.8 II
As good as a crop sensor body can be.
Canon EF 100mm f/2.0 USM
Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0L USM
Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM
Sharp but really for portraits, which I don't often do.
Sold as I needed IS for indoor church shots. Good value lens though
Poor at the edges.
Sigma 30mm F1.4 EX DC HSM
Tamron SP 70-300mm F4-5.6 Di VC USD
Sigma 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM
Not as sharp or punchy as I hoped.
Returned it as low contrast & nothing special.
Great do-everything lens.
Canon EF 35mm F2 IS USM
Great in low light. Wish I still had it.
