Aleks7: out of the quality topic, does anyone else find this camera ugly and relatively big?
It's super lightweight though, that's true, but in comparison to X1D...

Compare it with my Mamiya RZ67...what do you consider ugly and relatively big? Pick up that camera with a standard lens and you will change your mind. Also the X!D is already discontinued because it was a failure, what does that tell you.

dtibi: No 4K, No IBIS, can not push the shadows 12 stops and $4500??? What is Fuji thinking??? Also there are no pro lenses. Pro photographers need F0.9 zoom tele lenses with proper lava and nuclear fallout protection.

LMAO...it just shows what the people now think that it is all about neat specs, fast speed, extra bells and whistles and is what everyone needs. I'm glad I shot MF film and Large Format Film and know what a MF does in the end game. Let them stay in their world, Im just passing through. Apples vs Oranges.

Great news that the owner has been identified....what is even more impressive is the camera's ruggedness to still protect the sdcard from being ruined from such a fall. Cudo's to Fujifilm's Engineers to design a rugged little camera and it's manufacturing excellence.

carylee2002: I like Fujifilm make a 200-500mm F4 like Nikkor 200-500mm F5.6 for their APC line at a similar price point for wildlife photography. With that APC reach would sell like hotcakes.

Thats a variable a F4.5-f5.6 and not F4 throughout in addition the price point is 1k more than what the Nikkor offers.

I found that when I'm in video mode I can auto focus and auto track just fine. You need to setup the camera correctly. With the lcd facing my face. I have the screen set at Af, AF-C, FHD-24, WB set to 5600K for sunny outside, at S mode with my rode mike. and have Face Detect on/ Eye off. I push down the shutter button halfway to correctly focus to my face and from there hit the video button and it focus relatively good enough for vlogging. In addition I have my setting to area focusing with a relative largest focus area with no pre-AF and no AF illuminator. The key for me to set it up for stills and just before shooting video to press the shutter release to focus on your face and when that is good and tracking hit the video button and start vlogging. I'm not using the kit lens that came with this camera but instead using my 23mm F2 prime. my 2 cents.

I recently held the X-T100 pre-production model at PhotoconLA at the Fujifilm booth and i will say it looks to be a viable vlogger option. I mounted my 23mm F2 and held it arms length and was able to get very good focus and it activated autofocus with eye detect and was able to get my whole face in picture with no problem. I tried the same with the Canon M50 with their stock lens and the result was awkward and not a pleasant vlogger experience. My face ended up taking up most of the picture and you will need to hold the camera farther. This could be that the canon was using the stock zoom vs my prime lens. Another thing I noticed it was not a cheap looking toy camera but a well built body that was very compact in size and not very heavy, so holding it for long takes should be relatively easy. My 2cents.

Azathothh: I would definitely buy that. Love that swirling bokeh effect. If it was 10 times cheaper.

I would rather stick with my Helios 44-2 with my metabones speedbooster on my Fuji X camera.

(unknown member): Well it's hard to get excited over such a vague announcement.

the devil is in the details, not a nice glossy brochure. what's the EVF dots, the LCD? fps, sync speed,etc... especially with it not using leaf shutter, is it limited to a rudimentary sync speed? 14 bit? 16 bit?

these lenses, are going to cost, like all MF (and certainly Fuji has never been considered on the cheap end of lenses), so we're probably talking a system cost of 20,000 for the UWA, zoom and a prime or so + camera. that may even be on the low end.

what's the long term growth really of this sensor size? will sony even develop more? is it worth it to them? all the other main MF systems use bigger sensors.

and ISO and shutter speed dials *sigh*

when compared against something like the A99II (I cant believe i said that) .. it's hard to see the place for a .79 crop factor and a fairly minimal image DR/noise ratio gain, certainly not like you get from APS-C to FF. Even sony A mount lenses are cheaper.

IF they can make an adapter to fit my Mamiya Sekor lenses on this camera then I'm all in.

starwolfy: Under 10K. Now totally laughing at the face of all these guys that were pretending Fuji may introduced a MF camera that was going to totally cut the Leica and Hasselblad prices :p

That's still cheap because it includes a lens vs the Hassy is body only at $9G.

User3787089555: No leaf shutter? Then it is totally crap.

If you want a leaf shutter go buy yourself a 4x5 Speed Graphic Camera.
