Thank you! I may just have to level up to getting 2 128Gbs then since I’ll be doing a lot of continuous shooting.
-
Thanks Martin! Is the one you suggested better because my maximum speed on the a6000 is only 34MB so that’s the most it could do anyway and this is 150MB? Forgive me, I’m still a beginner at this.

I have a Sony a6000 that I’m bringing with me in a safari and I have two 64GB memory cards and a 32GB. I just started shooting in raw and will be doing a lot of continuing shooting because of the ...

Thanks all, I ended up ordering from Samy’s and have had a great experience!

thanks George, wish I had seen this before I ordered because I love a discount code! I appreciate you sharing.

Thanks Richard, that was my original plan but they didn’t have the lens I wanted in yet and weren’t sure they’d get it in time. I ended up buying figuring I could always sell after my trip and ...

Just wanted to thank you all again for your help. I got the 18-300 Tamron lens and started practicing with it. I also tried shooting in RAW and wow what a difference, I wish I’d had started ...

I like District Camera here in the DMV.

I’m looking to purchase a Tamron 18-300mm for an upcoming safari trip. I’m on the alert list for B&H, KEH, and my local camera store in DC but nobody knows when it will come in and I’m a bit ...

Thank you all SO much! I have learned so much from all of you. I think the Tamron 18-300 will be my best bet. Now comes the bigger challenge—trying to find one! The appear to be out of stock ...

Wow! Thank you so much for these photos—it is so incredibly helpful. The lens size is a bit intimidating since I’m used to just shooting with the camera with the kit lens but that is incredible reach!

No snottiness taken Joe, :-) , I appreciate your perspective and that makes sense re: printing.

This is super helpful! Is this the right one? In the reviews it says it fits the a6000 so would I still need an adapter ring? If so is there one you’d recommend? https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-w ...

thanks for the tip! Is the Fotodiox Tough E-Mount LT something I can easily swap out on my own camera you think?
-
Point well taken on the telephoto George. Do you think I would be able to get by with just the 70-350mm lens? Or would I need to swap out for landscape photos to my kit lens? Thanks!

Thanks Craig, my reasoning for not shooting raw is more that I'm intimidated by shooting raw (if I do it I'd shoot raw & jpeg so I could share a few pics while I'm there).

Wow thank you all so much, your insights are so helpful. Sounds like I do need the longer lens so I'm going to rent it instead of buying. Does anyone know when the new Tamron 18-300mm comes out? ...
-
Thanks FrodeHode! I was worried that the 18-200mm was even low on the zoom for the safari—great to hear I may not even need that! I’ll check out the Sony E 18-105 too.

This forum is amazing! I have been reading through the threads and there is such good information, so much information that I think I'm in analysis paralysis! I'm hoping you all can help me. I'm ...
