Prairie Pal: The slides become monotonous quickly even after the 4 minute mark when basically all that changes is the concentration of the sky movement. Yes the image quality is very high and the exposure is perfect. But slide after slide after slide is extremely pretentious and self indulgent. It's even distracting especially during the beautiful cloud sequences. I would say the sliding ruined the film. Get over yourself dude, it's a fad among still photographers.

Yawn, another Canadian speaks.

Piggy the bad: Cost $999/£999 $999=£628 at today's exchange rate. Yet another rip off for the British consumer.

Not if you bring it back in a suitcase.

kai liu: Samsung should largely improve the video spec. both the tilt evf and articulated screen are good for video. This can be a better still and video fusion camera than gh3 if they really improve the video spec.

I don't get it? What do you want 4k? I does 1080 @ 60p and has a 3.5mm mic input, what else do you need?

SMV78: Very interesting lens. It's a pity that I don't buy anything from Samsung.

Don't open up your laptop or your desktop then. Chances are either or both have Samsung memory. And that LED, LCD or Plasma television in your man cave no matter what the bezel says, quite probably was built using a Samsung screen.

sebastian huvenaars: Played with a silver one today, its big! In my mind i've been falsely comparing it with an FE all this time. The D800 feels smaller and lighter, less pressure points.

antoin: I'm sorry but this camera does not deserve a DPreview score of 81%.
Using the DPreview compare tool and adding the Pentax K01, I can see that the DF has approx. 30% more "value" compared to the K01 -
that's 30% more bang for buck. I bought a new K01 at a reduced price of AU$299. Compared to the DF
it has shake reduction, full hd movies, inbuilt flash, albeit the K01 is an APS-C format compared to the full frame Df. The Dxomark sensor score for the K01 is 79, which puts it near the top of the APS-C rankings.
Yet DPReview gave it a score of 69%, and comparing that figure to the 81% for the Df, well its a bit of a joke.
Regarding the Df - "Disappointing AF performance drops off in moderate light", I would imagine this would be a deal breaker if you are trying to get the most out of its excellent sensor in low light situations.

My K-30 has a viewfinder.

Cane: To all those happy video is removed, I hope you want that pesky auto focus removed too? Just another thing to get in the way of p u r e Photography.

When I went finally went digital in 2006 it was with a D200. I used the D200 until last year when I bought a D5200. For six years I used the D200 with not only no video, but no live view either! As Colonel Walter E Kurtz would say, the horror.... the horror. Now that I have the D5200 with all it's new fangled features including live view and 1080i video, I find that I hardly ever use either one of them anyway.

Here we go again, another Zeiss bashing session. Most of the readers here would have no problem blowing $800-$1000 on an unlocked iPhone5s that will be obsolete in six months.

What did you people do before the F3AF came out in '83? OMG! It's not autofocus! How am I supposed to take a photo without autofocus!?!
