great Javier: iPhone 7 killer

Phones 3 years back are better than iPhone 7 so Pixel is the killer of Galaxy/HTC cameras

iPhone 7/7+ is horrendously pathetic compared to Pixel so I am still shakin my head how the hell it gotten 86 in DxOMark. Even Galaxy S4 is infinitely better in comparison.

Nice bring a backpack of useless accessories and a brick-of-a-phone. Meanwhile, another user can just bring a travelzoom camera that costs less than half of this iPhone and does wide to zoom, macro etc.

Who the hell invented round corner? You can find round corners everywhere so no Apple did not invent round corners. Even the first iteration of Nokia phones have round corners.

(unknown member): I assume that the Pixel will not offer better images than the Nexus 5x/6p as the camera is likely the same + PDAF. If that's true, the Nexus 5x/6p should have got a higher score and it would show the inconsistency of Dxomark.
Dxomark's result does not surprise me. Every few months a new smartphone allegedly has the best camera. I think they do this in order to please smartphone manufacturers that supply them with smarphones before the official release. I assume that the Pixel delivers the best image quality indeed, but not better than the Nexus.

ACtually Pixel uses the latest Sony sensor IMX378 while 6P/5X uses IMX377

More like HTC clone. Apple copied HTC design FYI.

bubblyboo: 1 point over the GS7 that was released half a year ago. No OIS. Wow.

It has EIS though and is using gyroscope for stabilization.

Yes but this is more realistic than iPhone 7. It has pathetic camera that got 86 but inferior (based on DPR studio comparison) than Android phones 3 years ago.

My comment applies to both iPhone 7 and 7 plus. And as seen here they are both inferior compared to S4 and other 3 year old phones.

Hey anyone thinking iPhone will replace a DSLR let alone a $50 P&S camera must be hallucinating. So yeah iPhone is pathetic at least in photographic quality. Not in the same league of Android phones from the last 2-3 years.

Just look at the comparison here and there. I did mine, Nexus 5X stomped iPhone 7 both in bright and lowlight shots. It doesn't deserve 86 points, I would be happy to give it 82 max.

More marketing BS as always. Anybody with $50 P&S camera + courtside game ticket or access to these POV will be able to produce better if not similar results.

How are those rising FOV photographs possible? The camera was placed on the construction site and was moving up as the building structure goes up? Some scenes are kinda like CGI to me. ^_^

Mister Roboto: FWIW, 6S Plus is pathetic compared to P9 so how are you gonna call it?

Did you know that you can launch the camera even when the phone is standing by by double pressing the power button? That alone gives you more than a sec advantage over iPhone which you need to wake up first before you can launch the camera.

Even unlocking the phone via fingerprint sensor is blazing fast over iPhone. Yes, you don't need to wake the phone too. And yes, Nexus 5X/6P has superior image quality over iPhone.

I guess you enabled HDR+ with your 6P hence the slow down in shot to shot. But why do you need to shoot continuously with HDR+? Just learn to expose the scene properly and shoot without HDR, you will be fine.
