On article DPReview TV: Canon EOS M6 Mark II review (301 comments in total)

does M6II allowed for tethered shooting to a PC? like the M50? or is that crippled like all the other M series cameras have been?

they need to use sequential playback so rotation footage is about 20 to 30 seconds long. 1/2 sec from each camera in order would be nice.

Ken60: If you find anything in this video, perhaps have a peek at Julia Trotti ....... interesting both ladies shun flash and stick to simply daylight and 85 f1.4 , 35 f1.4 lenses on simple camera bodies. Their success seems to be in interaction and honing their craft . Watching them work and their images makes me think about the difference between guys photographing women and these ladies !

obviously you did not read all the comments. someone said she was better than 50% of the population : "Watching them work and their images makes me think about the difference between guys photographing women and these ladies !"
and obviously that was BS that needed correcting.

there is no difference between how they work and how guys work IMHO
. if i posted a transcript of her verbal communication with a model and another transcript of a male photog , my guess is 80% of the people would guess based on the transcript she was a guy talking. seriously. i am clueless as to why one woudl consider her verbal directions any better than other photographers. other youtube videos show same type of communication. give credit to great portraits, but lets not give credit where it is not due.

Interesting, but backwards lens hood in the way so she has to stick her pinky finger out? gosh it takes 2 seconds to flip the hood in the correct position, lets you hold the lens comfortably, and you get more contrast/ no flare and if you bump or drop lens then the hood protects it. guess its' my pet peeve. One assistant I was shooting with didn't even realize the hood could be reversed in the correct position, lol.

LOL, when I watched it, I thought to myself she talks like a guy. Phrases like
yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.,
YES!, YES! that's better!
No don't do that, Yes this is better.
total in articulate cliche phrases, not sure how anyone comes away with that kind of interaction being anything more than average. Besides it's her sister, they could of been in total silence and still have a good repertoire, its not like its' a stranger you need to set at ease.

"if this flash is not for you, stop watching the video, give us a like and move on. " yes your majesty, can I also kiss your feet?

goactive: So how powerfull is it VS a flash strobe? Can you shoot at F16 and light up a subject 12 feet away or are you going to be stuck at say f2.8 for the flash to work right? One of the main reasions to use HSS is to over power the sun can this do that?

it's not even close to the power of a xeon based flash. 20x less powerfull

Hans Stuhrmann: If this device is competing with speed lights then there's one performance number that we need: the guide number at a certain iso and lens angle. Then I know what it's capable of. Where is it? Is it so low?

they dont' publish it because it's pathetically low . They claim 500% brighter than standard output which is only about 2 stops.
wild guess is guide number of 16 which means f/4 at 4 feet away.

This seems like a vapor ware product. Everyone knows LED's are much less powerfull than a xeon tube based flash. How did this photographer developed the engineering and electrical skills to develop such a ground breaking product?
there is currently only one LED flash available and it has extremely weak output.

pocket booth party for $40 is a much better alternative IMHO. It is very easy to learn and works great with epson or canon airprint inkjets which can print out a4x6" print in bout 30 seconds.
