budi0251: This is 2014, let's wait another decade to 2024 where it'd be the norm in consumer sub 5000$ camera.

Heck, in a decade everything would be so different already and we'd ask ourself, "What am I goin' to do with these old tech?"

Remember the most revolutionary DSLR ever to reach below 10k$ back around a decade ago? Available to (rich) consumers & big news agency with money to invest.
What has it become? (though it is still a D1, but nobody wants to use it anymore today).

And don't forget the inflation

It's a good camera indeed, but with such price - it's a worthless camera. It's just a proof, that people who believe that art is business exist.

Watch this video and you'll see how HDR can be handled very nice, without that greasy effect.

DStudio: The problem is it sounds like a stupid buy even for those who can afford it.

This product will show how the money of the buyer were earned :)

Come on... people buy apple... the same will buy this stick... i'm so sure. I'm just glad it's not me (as a consumer) and... I quite envy the developers/sellers... Easy money with such a solution over a problem that doesn't actually exist :)

It all depends on the cost of the lens and its quality.

If it'll beat this set:
Some Nikon with built in AF Motor
Nikon AF 50 mm f/1.8
Nikon 55-200 mm
Tokina 11-16 mm (1st version)

Then it could be a real good almost-all-in-one lens.

// I've mentioned Nikon, because that's what I own. Canon is also taken into consideration.

photogeek: No doubt it will also "offer" record levels of complex distortion, CA, and blurriness in the corners.

PS and Lightroom will fix that :)

Reinhard136: I am sure the author has the best of intentions to guide us toward wise choices, and did their best to balance the article. But if you see Nikon and Canon ads passing you on busses, and famous people at Nat Geo with CaNikons around their necks it has a weight in the finding. If a robot was doing the comparison, the K3 might be trumps. Apart from build, weatherproofing, aliasing, highest pq, small size, most importantly they took the moral rather than financial path with built in shake reduction (or on long lenses you can still use the one in the lens). The burden of being the small player, you have to be better than your competitors to stay in business.
But human rather than a robot is not all bad. Our sheep like mentality protects us, if everyone else is thinking CaNikon, they are not likely to go broke, and there more lenses ........ Pentax are pretty financial and have enough lenses, but the crowd is conservative. They would have to do a 72 MP sensor to crack that.

And when they'll have this 72MP sensor, it's going to be so expensive, that people would buy a Leica for the same money and the same conservative reasons ...

I've switched to RawTherapee a couple of months ago. It's awesome. I still have LR... just 'cause i'm being lazy to uninstall it.
