Silver versions of current Noctilux and Summilux lenses are anodized aluminum, like their black siblings.

How very right. I reckon we won't see much brass on future cameras, or lenses for that matter.

To me Sony FF body design is fine as is and hope they won't change it any time soon. That's just me of course.

Agreed, same here. Besides, in poor light conditions, SL in no use in comparison to Sony, let alone the AF performance. Weight is another issue to ponder. However, if sharpness is the main concern, ...

I believe silver lenses are no longer brass made, but anodized aluminum.......save perhaps for the Summaron-M 28mm f. 5,6 which might still be brass. My two cents.
