Jim Herndon: I have the D3 - not sure this is worth the upgrade for me. Video is not an attraction, and the only great improvement is the definite 1-stop (maybe more) improvement in ISO. What I'd really like to see is higher bit-depth to 16-bit. It'd also be nice if GPS and wifi were built-in with the flagship models.
Yeah, most likely. It does definitely seem the pace of upgrades is slowing. The leaps from D1 to D2x to D3 were all much larger than the D3 (especially D3s) to D4. On one hand, I suppose that's good in that one doesn't feel like they absolutely have to buy a new camera every 3-4 years.
I'll be interested to see the image quality from the D4, but on paper it doesn't look greatly different than the D3.
