Derailleur Gears: The gears on my Parkes Lightweight racing bike. Built in the early 1950s I inherited it from my brother when he bought a motorbike in 1958. It was rebuilt in 2013 and it now as good as new, the only non-original parts being the chain and the seat.

  • Submitted a challenge entry Agro-chenical Tanker
A common sight where we live are these massive agro-chemical tankers on the narrow poorly surfaced roads. They come and go from a plant on the other side of the nearest village, about 2.5 miles away by road - but this is the only route in and out for them. A constant threat to cyclists and pedestrians in the area. #transport #tanker #agrochemical #rural

The face of Neptune, the Roman God of the Sea. It was created from the remains of an old tree trunk in Charlestown, Cornwall. The carver was Peter Martin. There are collection boxes at the base of the carving to raise funds for the local Little Harbour Children's Hospice.
