Kotena: Very nice Gallery!!!
i want to know that you use any filter or adapter for your sony hx100??
you always on auto mode or manual???

Hi Kotena.
Excuse me for not answering before, I hadn't logged in DPR.

Yes, for powerful macro-photo I use a Marumi 330 achromat close-up lens attached on my HX100V for what I did an adaptor ring (described in one of my old threads). Marumi close-up lenses (330 and 200, 3 and 5 diopter repectively) are excellent but there're even better/more expensive options as Canon and Raynox.

For shooting I usually use P Mode but compensating exposure with EV button, S or A priority depending on if wanting more speed or or DOF and rarely use M. For macros (specially for HX100V full zoom extreme) I also use a tripod every time it's possible with allows me longer exposures times.

I don't know about its performance and/or specifications, but at first sight...
... it just looks like an immense bulky dinosaur... (to me).

inDefiance: Whenever I'm outside in daylight, I"ll wear polarized sunglasses. I've read that the EVF of the FZ1000 in landscape position cannot be used with polarized sunglasses. If that's true, can I use the lcd screen in landscape position to take pictures? I think most photos are probably taken in landscape, so I was a little surprised that the EVF could not be used if you're wearing polarized sunglasses. Perhaps someone who wears polarized sunglasses and has used the FZ1000 could help me out on this. I looked through the review and the posts below and didn't find this information. Thank you for any help or suggestions.

Just give it a try, many cameras get rough times while using a CPL and autofocusing... but it's half truth only. It's not a big problem indeed, not an absolute restriction.

I totally agree with you!
Photos is nothing more than an enhanced iiPhoto.
I was thinking just like you: Keep on using Aperture and Photoshop and starting to use lightroom instead,
Great article! ✎_________✔✔✔✔✔Txs4Sharing

Right!, bad weather offers great opportunities for doing great shots... but to tell the truth, almost all these shots (except for the braking waves on the rocks) are flat and boring just because of the weather, LOL!: there are a lot of better examples for illustrating the main subject of the article, I'd say...

One of the most useless gadget I've seen in years...!!!
Not to say anything about bulky files and useless density of pixels for recording four times the info received for real into a single shot without getting more resolution than a 16Mp capture. And what about pointing, shooting and reviewing???
A nice waste of money for feeding too big little egos.

In reply to:

luisflorit: It is actually a shame that not every single DSLR offers this as a default feature, not even modern flagships with video, and you have to shoot with a phone! For example, the Oly E5 doesn't have timelapse. Still, it is not very hard to make timelapses with it:
But shooting several of these movies will ruin your shutter.

At Tmart, they sell a programable wireless (or direct connected if desired) remote shutter specially designed for time elapse photography for about $35.

Very awesome and interesting... amazing situation and shot!.
I'd use some sort of heater for keeping the camera/lens ice free meanwhile getting a nice shot.

ZeevK: I really do not understand the need foe new release to add support for new camera. This can be easily accomplish through external files like .dll or similar. It's only a new swet of parameters to be used by existing algorithm - not dedicated algorithm for each brand or model...

It's Adobe... they do not have any respect for their customers.

Thanks Chux, I'm glad you liked it.
A65 is a great camera.
It was taken with SAL18250 and Marumi 330 (3diopter) achromat macro lens attached.

gfa5775 has just told it's real and now I believe him,
but I still don't understand the reflection... the only explanation I can find is a double reflection: one from the outside (nearer convex curvature) and the other from the internal (farther/concave) curvature.
Very interesting indeed, and a great image in anyway!
