fritzli: I could have done without this SA control thing. Would much like a f2 aperture instead.

@Welsh the RF 85 f2 is not huge at all...

*Parsing error with CR3 files from this gallery*
I try to convert R5 raw files from the DPR gallery with Adobe DNG converter v12.4. It doesnt work, I always get a "parsing" error. It works well thoug with R6 files from the DPR gallery. Or with R% raws from other sources!

Whats possibly wrong? What can I do?
TIA
Jonny

fritzli: Unique zoom? What about the Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM. Since 2010.

What such a lens can do. Landscapes: http://www.jonnyfoto.ch/Swiss/Heitenried/Heitenried-Spring-2014/ Cityscapes: http://www.jonnyfoto.ch/Cities/Venezia/Venezia-V/ I'm a sucker, I know ;-)

rfsIII: OK, is it just me or do all these photos suffer from some degree of motion blur? Nikon lenses usually produce crisper edges on objects and buildings. I wonder if any of them were shot from a nice tripod with electronic shutter or mirror lockup.

With a circular FE (@8mm) you get the tripod legs in the shot. Every thing 180° at your left/right, above and below is in the picture.

dbo: I am not going to take anything away from the fact that most of the shots are pretty awesome. Besides the fact that I don't appreciate entering protected memorials I absolutely don't like people trying to hoax me a pathetic story in order to attain special attention, like the winner did.
Aha, fortuitous he had a fisher boat in the car since some days....
Aha, it took just little time to clean so that lighting was still fine for the scene....
Seems it took no time for the water to get quite again after using the boat.
Still a very nice foto, but the story is bullsh*t.

fishing boots and a net, not a boat!
