elgol20: Where is the update for the 7R, lossless RAW etc?!

This is saddening. I'm also abandoned with my A7s and pseudo RAW files (fake 14bit lossy garbage).

No 14 bit RAW for A7s - huge letdown.

Still no proper RAW firmware for first generation A7 cameras. :-(

anthony mazzeri: Lightroom only. Needs Aperture/Photos plugin.

Edit - not to worry. I just read the last line where it says it only converts from JPG to JPGmini, not from RAW, so no point for an Aperture plugin to export from RAW.

I believe, it is better to convert only one time from lossless to lossy, otherwise second time you will be compressing artifacts introduced in first lossy stage.

ybizzle: Alt prnt screen, paste, crop, save. That's all anyone has to do to take a protected web jpg and open it any time. DRM what? Hah

DRM on system side, watermarking can survive re-encoding, so if OS will be supporting this c*ap, you will see nothing.

dcolak: Now Sony has to undo the latest FW update that was "fixing" the chroma noise and made it worse:

One step forward, two steps back.

What about 5x EVF magnification sony?

Noise is much better option than fake and processed RAW.

So... I'm waiting for new firmware for my A7s :-)

Way to go!

Right now I'm using Sony A7s + Metabones adapter + EF lenses (in manual focus assist mode). For my photography this is best equipment I ever had, quality of images is excellent, handling is great and whole setup is just fun to use.

Waiting for 50L equivalent from Sony (50mm F1.2 or faster).

nekrosoft13: if i can find replacement for my Tamron 150-600 that would work well on Sony I might switch.

Family so distant that I'm not even sure it counts.

Now AF is pathetic slow, but I guess new firmware will fix it, also MF mode is very neat in A7x ... (auto zoom when focus ring moved).

Whole "play memories" experience is c*appy at best, free apps should be available for download without stupid account.
