MightyMike: Based on its description and price, this lens better review awesomely, looking forward to the quantitative reviews on this one! I highly expect to see something spectacular, I will be very disappointment if it isn't.

Just watched the preview on the Art of Photography and it seems that it's pretty much a technical marvel, especially those XA elements:)

VolodymyrCZ: Thanks a lot for the information! Considering the price I bought it in a heartbeat!:)
It recognized all my raw files from Canon 450D, Panasonic GF1, Olympus E-M5 Mark I, Sony 5n and Sony A7 Mark II (both compressed and uncompressed).

Need to play more with the app, but so far everything seems to be as advertised:)

Hi Mike,

I have my photos on the external Thunderbolt SSD drive, so I just added that drive under "Image sources" in the upper left part of the app's main screen and hit Scan (make sure that include suborders is checked) and after few minutes all the photos were added to the application's metadata database.

I hope it will help.

Best regards,

Volodymyr.

EXkurogane: Lightroom is a lagfest but i still use it because I'm very familiar and experienced with it. But now with this release i might consider purchasing Capture One.

Give it a try! I used to be a long time LR user, but was not quite happy with the raw conversion quality, so I tried C1. The learning curve was steep, but it was well worth all the efforts!
After 3 years of using C1 I recently tried LR classic and oh boy, what illogical and cumbersome LR seemed to me after using C1:)

biggercountry: I loved that 20mm f/1.7 lens... its AF motor made it almost unusable for anything but static subjects, especially on a contrast-detect body, but the optics... even still, with my Z6 and collection of good Nikon glass, I can’t get things to “pop” as easily as I could with that pancake lens.

Exactly my experience! I have a set of very fine Sony and Zeiss primes, so I'm quite used to the quality optics, but every time I use 20mm PanaLeica I'm blown away by the images!

chadley_chad: Why buy this when you have the Canon EOS M6 which betters this in every way other than IBIS

I believe the most compelling reason to buy small and capable m4/3 cameras is equally small and very capable lenses.

I have an e-m5.1 with the Panasonic Leica 12-60 as my secondary set and this combo is amazing!

There are many small and very capable bodies in both FF and APS-C formats, but I cannot recall any 24-120 (in FF equiv.) lens that is of high quality (both optical and build) and is very small.

Einride: Wow really good sample images. The cameras and computational photography improvements look amazing. After some back and forth with other brands I think iPhones have the best cameras. Perhaps not always the best specs (although I’m happy they remain at 12mp) but the end results are always good. Especially the auto white balance of the iPhone I often find better than my dedicated cameras.

Improvements in battery life and durability too. The iPhone 11 looks fantastic.

I can't agree more! They photos look as those that were taken by a phone.

On the other hand, while watching them on a phone screen without zooming to 100% they look okay and this is the way most media is consumed nowadays.

fPrime: Yikes! Who did the RAW conversion work here?

Some of the indoor SOOC JPEG's here actually look better than their RAW conversions (images 4 and 5). Skin tones in many RAW conversions still looks odd (images 38 and 39).

The outdoor shots have corrected WB that's a little warmer, but the blue skies look very artificial and CMOS-y (images 34 and 35 and all the others with sky).

Exactly!:)

I'm very glad too!:) To me it's really obvious, while for people around me it's okay and they cannot see any substantial difference.

@fPrime: I'm too very sensitive to the color of skies:) I don't think that it's exactly CCD vs CMOS thing, though.
My old Canons (400-450D) produced skies closer to D200 from the example above, while my recent M50 OOC Jpegs are much closer to Z7.

And I have to admit that I prefer rendering of D200 and 400-450D much more:)

DtEW: I think the most relevant question is:

Who manufactured this particular waterproof case?

I agree with DtEW.

By the striped lens bezel and the color of the main latch (faded blue as seen on the first photograph in article) it's definitely Meikon.
