It should be called "Min-D" not "Zero-D"... but that doesn't have a good ring to it lol!

Yes... careful consideration can mean enjoying the trip and the photography, as well as not spoiling the trip for those with you.

That is unfortunate and very disappointing. I would "bench test" the setup again and again at home, running it several times for the maximum filming length, and see if the problem can be repeated. ...

A bit of both if one is hyper critical. I think for an ultra wide it is pretty good though.

The 15 is as good a choice as any for a fast general purpose lens to accompany the 12-100.
-
Stars are slightly distorted by coma aberration in the periphery. Not the worst I've seen but not the best... although I don't think any other equivalently wide lens would do much better.

I tested mine a couple nights ago for astro. It's not amazing but also not bad. Interestingly, a review online, I think Robin Wong, showed how starbursts begin from f2.2 already... I've comfirmed ...

If think the "heavy" 12-100 is only an issue if someone is walking, climbing etc a lot with the camera in hand or on a neckstrap... a casual stroll around shouldn't be an issue. And there are ...

Well there you go! Perseverance, although it's wrong it wasn't sorted out the first time. A premium type lens should not leave the factory in a "bad" state.

I did send mine in to get the tight front dial repaired, but I don't consider that a critical failure as the camera was usable.

The struggle is real lol. I'm also looking at how to reduce some stuff.

I suspect Sync IS too... but then why not the 12-100 PRO as well? Some users have reported excessive battery consumption with the 300 Pro... maybe it's a result of a certain combination of power ...

Looks good! Mine is in transit... maybe arriving tomorrow. What a massive difference in AOV in your comparisons with the 7.5mm!
-
With FW1.3, I don't have any problems to speak of, but hopefully some things will be tweaked/ improved a bit better by FW2.0 at some stage.
-
Agreed... I think it will be more than the 12-100 initially and then settle to about the same price.
-
About the same as the f1.2 Pro Primes.

My copy is soft too, but responds well to RAW processing with a good lens profile. Colours etc are very good.
-
That would probably work, but going backwards and forwards marking pics on both cards would be impractical.
-
I have done the 3 FOV defishing in camera and defishing from RAW using the excellent DXO Viewpoint software... I have compared against good 7, 8 and 9mm zoom lenses, but not my 9mm PL. The Oly FE 8 ...

I said "sanctuary" in my original post, but it's just dawned on me that "sanctuary" might not mean "captive" to everyone. All the animals, certainly the birds, are there as rescues from injuries ...
