  • Thank you Dean, You're quite right about the grass trees. Cheers, Ben
  • Thank you Gnath11, you're welcome! Ben
  • Thank you Mike. Grass Trees burn very quickly because of the very dry undergrowth but they come alive again within a few weeks healthier looking then before. In this place there are a few thousand ...
  • Thank you Mike, Those are Grass Trees. They do contain some sort of wax but the main reason for such big flames is that the undergrowth is very dry. The grass trees 'like' to bee burned every ...

  • Replied in My tip...
When shooting insect I always aim the spot focus at the head or eyes if possible. It take a bit of patience and practice to get the subjects to pose for you! :-) You're doing well already. Cheers, Ben
  • I am really enjoying your airshow collection Mike! These guys are the acrobats athletes of the sky, skilled and precise to the extreme. Thanks, Ben
  • Lovely shots Mike! Thanks for showing them. Ben
  • ...on the Flame Trees! :-) Now is the time of the year to admire these striking red trees. Hope you like them. ...and one with the colorful lorikeet

  • Created discussion thread K-70 samples on IR
Imaging Resource has published the K-70 sharpness tests. Looks pretty good! ISO 51200 seams even better (as far as details) than K-5II. Ben
  • Congratulations! Looking forward to seeing some of your pictures. It might be better to start a new thread with your photos and opinions! Cheers, Ben
  • I do like reading DPR reviews, however they don't influence my decision when it comes to buy a camera. I personally rather base my decision more on the performance indicated in Imaging Resources ...
