crustyjuggler66: New pricing is insane, i'd rather have a pair of elinchrom studio lights for less money. £680 for a single strobe! No thanks.

Buy now as with Canon rebate 2x 600EX-RT's for £895. Sell the old gear and update to RT's as great ans simple to use

pingshakl: Finally there is factory radio wieless flash. Pocketwizard is dying....

Yep the 600Ex-RT will wotk in ETTL on older EOS film bodies - last page in instructions! Just need to upgrade to 5DMK III in new year to gain full 'group' potential of 600EX's. Feel more solid than my 580EX's and very quiet.

Bogdan Spineanu: So, as a Canon owner .. Canon thinks probably they are the "Apple" of photography with these prices.
What .. GPS tracking and it isn't compatible with older cameras ? No software syncing of GPS data ?
That wireless transmitter is as expensive as a laptop !
For God Sake Canon !
That was a stupid day when I choose to go with Canon !

Had a mare and my two 580Ex units both failed, think one fried by my new PW TT5!!! :0( But with work load had to jump on two 600EX-RT units. Great to use and simple to set up,with Canon rebate they have cost less than £450 each. Not bad when you think I paid £360 for my 580Ex's 7yrs ago! Just need to somehow add my 430EX II into the RT mode and I'm really happy.
