  • Sorry to hear this. This magazine was my favorite during my USA stay (1995-2000). On a side note, I learnt more than cameras with this magazine. I was asking for this magazine in a public library ...
  • I am interested to see any information (official) which says PLM is for light lenses only. I have read only 'maybe' posts. Thanks
  • IMO, 18-135 is more than a kit lens. Different from Nikon with 18-140 or Canon with 18-135. Pentax's is a DC (newer than SDM) and also importantly WR. Probably the reason for the higher price. The ...
  • I guess K70 competes with D5500. The price in official site is high. You can ping Pentax people in Facebook for a good offer.
  • Wow. Haven't come across this kind of capture before. To(w)o good. BTW. Are birds ambi-dextrous? Or are they also left, right (handed/legged)?
  • Tal Chappar has been in my wish list for long. And your photos only add to that agony of waiting :) Fantastic captures Arijit.
  • Agree that in my case only very rarely I miss RAW. Most of the time JPEGs are good enough. Also, saves a lot of time in post processing (whatever I try, i couldn't get the same JPEG as OOC :) )
  • Thank you. I will try to crop even more.

One of my best so far. Thanks to a mini-tripod that helped. Pentax K-01 + DFA 100mm
  • Beautiful shots Arijit. Only recently I saw both (lifers) the yellow eyed babbler and Bengal Weaver.
  • Replied in A sunbird .
Thanks a lot. This clarifies. I have to see now if similar lightening/darkening features are there in Gimp (which I prefer). -Siva
  • Replied in A sunbird .
Nice adjustment. Could you please let know how to do this? I mean only the dark part is being highlighted. When I try to adjust levels, the whole bird gets highlighted. Thanks. Nice catch of the ...
  • Thanks all for your appreciation. The first crow was the one that attracted me in the first as it seemed to totally ignore the rain. Thanks Siva
  • Thanks for your kind words. I have watched another tailorbird making a nest. Real stitching :)
  • Created discussion thread Raining crows and birds
Was observing some crows in the recent rains. Some braved it. Some crows took shelter under a satellite dish. The tailor bird (last) was taken after the rain stopped. All taken with Pentax K5iis + ...
  • Not sure if I am so happy. If only the DA*300 isn't fixed so well, India would have gotten a 150-450. Now this has to wait :( Great shots Arijit. :)
  • Arijit. Great shots from the zoom. I am not surprised about the shots though. I know you take gulls BIF shots with 50mm :) Hope you get back your 300mm quickly. Or why not get the 150-450? -Siva
