Foskito: Please what a mystery... Everybody knows it is the Sony A7 “compact”.

"Zorak - Is not what I said - But it is a well known fact that most heard complain over Sony is over its bad ergonomics and too complicated menu structure."

Then, what were you trying to say Indiana ?

@Indiana : "definately not the direction that people who are thinking to jump towards MILC are hoping for."
Yeah, because you know for sure that every people that wants to buy a MILC wants a big camera. Your opinion is universal.

10 is incredible. Rest is excellent, honestly, one of my favorite selection of pictures these last years. I'll look into the older competitions.
edit : Vicky Martin, author of picture ten, has an amazing portfolio, imho.

Foskito: ISO performance is roughly 4-stops better than my iPhone. So what is the advantage of having a lowly 12mp resolution?

"This is just cameras we are talking about, no one should take it too personally or insult others."
This is ironic ? You spend a copious amounts of time trolling for someone who doesn't take things personnaly... First, you troll, then you cry because people are mean, then you give lessons of online behaviour ? You're a piece of work...

I hope their last cameras will have success, but the market globally seems to be on a downward spiral... I like my modern smartphone but damn, it's killing everything...

Yeah, I'm sorry man, sometimes I get confused reading guys like you that spend their time posting weird sh*t all day long on every news... Your little friends and yourself have literally spout BS by the metric ton since the camera has been announced, and I'm like "is it trolling, stupidity, hatred for a inanimate object, or just pure madness ?". Can't make up my mind honestly, maybe a little bit of everything.

Anyway, thanks again for the "hard facts", you convinced everybody, "boy". Why did Gerald Undone decide after rigorous testing to buy two of these when he could have bought two iPhones, that's a real mystery, help us understand !

Great pictures, some really well thought, thanks for sharing DPR !

That is nice puns and potatoes !

A vicious crowd now ?
Like you say, whatever...

Considering what you posted here and in the previous threads about this camera, seems to me you're obsessing on it, that's not sane, I'm sorry, you should quit the BS for a while. It's a specialized tool, it seems to please the crowd to which it addressed, and there's no need for you to start a crusade...

My God, you are so obnoxious... No one can take you seriously, you troll badly, and when I said you sounded like a 12 years old I was doing you a favor, my oldest is 11 and abandoned the idea of using such retorts years ago. Please stop, I think everybody had enough of your "arguments" for the day.

English is my third language, but thanks for the correction. And, yes, obviously you totally convinced me and everyone else, judging by the upvotes.

Hahaha, you never stop ! I hope it's just trolling, because you seem very stressed and agressive.

But I give up because of your marvelous deductive skills and splendid arguments, man, this was a really enlightening conversation, I now know better !

Ok, you seem to be completely losing grasp with reality, your post has nothing to do with what I said, I imagine you're trying to make some points but it seems completely random. Take a deep breath, relax, things will get better.

@Kandid : or maybe they liked having a camera capable of making 20fps silently without rolling shutter, awesome AF, and the fact that it allowed them to have equipment from the same company with the same lenses for video and pictures. You know, what they say in the article, if you were able to read it without convulsing. Genius.

Zorak: R5 and R6 seem to be great cameras, but the price of a kit with good lenses is still too high for a lot of people. When Canon will have lenses like the Tamron zooms (if it happens one day), great, but in the meantime an A7III with these lenses is a great buy for a lot of people... And that's not the only good lenses with a nice QP ratio available on the Sony platform.

You can always adapt lenses, so there's that... I don't know, curious to see if it's a success, one thing for sure is that both are awesome cameras, the R5 (except for these overheating problems) is a nerd dream honestly.

That's why I said "you can always adapt lenses". For people with already some Canon lenses, and interested in updating their old 5D3 or 6D, if you have the means to buy the R6, it seems like a no brainer.

But I think that for the best results, you need to go with native at one point. And buying used Canon lenses for the DSLR mount doesn't seem very interesting, honestly. I don't know, we'll see !

And one day they'll have a better native selection, for sure, do they have a roadmap or are they like everyone else, with very vague hints and dates ?

edit : The only Canon photographer I know is doing mostly landscapes, he couldn't care less about the R6, I think a lot of Canon still shooters won't care either, because of relatively poor IQ and resolution.

Anulu: The ability to shoot sport silently at 20fps (the only camera what can do this) with industry leading AF and with the biggest native mirrorless top-notch lens selection, looks like pays off.

"you have achieved that no one takes you seriously, but i bet you have several other account to troll, sadly"
For example there's his Willow w account that post the same drivel everywhere, with the same idiosyncrasies (its crazy)... Most forums ban multi account, but I imagine they don't have the tools to do it here.
