I think these two cameras are the most exciting ILC releases this decade.

Slightly heavier than D610 or D750. Not a big deal. Look at some of the Sony/Zeiss/Sigma lenses so this is nothing. I guess heavier lenses will balance better.

The 1.4x goes from 3 to 5 elements. However Nikon did the TC14 with 5 elements in 5 groups over 40 years ago.

A lot of banding in the sample photos or not enough depending on your musical tastes. ;-)

Some are indicating this lens should have VC. However VC works better at longer focal lengths. I value low weight, compactness, IQ and reasonable price. Those who knock Tamron should remember...
