I think most of them work just great, but the design itself has a higher failure rate which is why I was commenting that a V2 would be awesome. It IS a halo lens, and it does remarkable things if ...

Agreed. The focus system is prone to noise and failure as well. Newer lenses don't share some of the design flaws that the 55mm has. I just got mine fixed for $315 because it was making the buzzing ...

I don't think I've had a LR CC of LR Classic CC crash in more than a year now. It does need a restart after a few hours (prob a small memory leak). PC and Mac here.

Note that the Aperture modes in Huawei phones use AI software and multiple cameras to simulate depth of field. The light opening isn't changed. And it works really well too. And, the depth office...

If you shoot scenes, landscapes, cityscapes or other similar things IBIS can be a big deal for APS cameras since the sensor is much smaller than full frame. Getting a good handheld shot at 1/10...

Off topic somewhat, but you might want to consider an RX10 to hold you over. That 600mm reach is great in good lighting.

Wow. Thank you for sharing, awesome Insta page. The P20 rocks and you are showing off your skill with it.

Same here. I love how my grey Type 109 looks. It's just beautiful. And that was worth more to me, but nice enough: Anyone can get the Panasonic for a little less.

I'll have to disagree based on the comparisons I've seen. And actually, Google might be much better but I don't want a night image that looks like day so maybe they are choosing that. I want one...

@Mk7 I think they are in a tough spot. They have such a huge market share that the supply chain is massive and the risk so high, they just can't afford to be too aggressive. 60% of their revenue is...

Agreed , Huawei has a better result. If it were sold and pitched by any US carriers it would be widely known in North America.

Huawei's implementation is better results wise and it aligns as well. In fact it also aligns at times on regular shots (it asked you to hold the camera still post shot for a second).

I have hiked many places with lots of difference climates and weather with the 16-35mm F4. It's a perfect size, but I am also focused on the size and expanse of the experience so a zoom isn't ...

As a Sony shooter: This looks like a great camera and a remarkable 1st gen effort. What matters isn't if it is better than another, but is it a great tool for taking pictures. No doubt it is.

It's fixed in the new ones.

I think a big point here is that they realize the market size for stealing people from Canon or Nikon is small. They need to get more people into Photography with a dedicated camera and I think...

People who keep saying that you can't defy the physics of light going through lenses to a sensor are assuming that a great image requires all the light to be near perfectly delivered to a large or...

I get this on my A7II as well using these.

The 80mm camera on the P20 Pro is pretty disappointing. I never use it. So be wary if you are excited about the long end on this one.

Last spring's Huawei P20 Pro is still better than the new iPhone camera(s). The is a leap ahead once again. Apple needs to pick up more velocity though, they had such a huge lead and now Huawei is...
