I have used/ use Sandisk Compact flash / SD/ micro SD never had a problem with them in numerous cameras. I do have one Lexar SD card which is perfectly fine as well.

Sometimes it's something we don't pay much  attention to 😉 I assume the lens is  clean on both ends?

I think it's something on the front or back element of the lens, maybe some small smudge getting sunlight under a certain angle.

I know the flower as they can be seen in nature where I am living,  will see if I can photograph one this weekend 😉😀

for me it would depend how important the image quality is to me. Luckely I have the luxury to own more then one camera, on holiday I always bring more then one camera with me.

As I am perfectly happy with my cameras, they will easily stay usefull for the next ten years and more.
