PhotoKhan: I get that status-seeking, Sean Flynn wannabes get blinded by this brand intelligent, albeit marginally deceptive, marketing strategy and widely open their pockets to acquire photographic devices that fail to excel in almost every metric.

It is painfully, though, to see/read such a respected photography site like DPReview systematically blinded by the German's commercial fireworks and their own artist-complexes to the point of sounding/reading like the brand's promotional material.

(...Regarding the status-seeking obsession of Leica patrons, it is utterly hilarious the way they so patently suffer because, in spite of being quite the photography enthusiasts, there seems to be no record of a Beatle using a Leica...)

Let's buy a pre-owned Leica Q1 (Typ116) from 2016 for 1.990.– and everything get's right. The X100V is at the moment used for the same price. So – get a Q and have fun. It's a lovely camera. The best tool, a very fine instrument or whatever. Take, make pictures, images and feel the difference in making of. It's real. No advertise is needed, no commercial. It's real.

The long awaited new Foveon fullframe camera made by SIGMA.

"Reduce to the max and back to the roots because less is more".

That is the real quintessence.

Hi guys

What about "the mother of the digital compact cameras with big sensor?"

The same procedure as often. You "forgot" the SIGMA DP1

Hello again
With my old LADA, up to the mountains, across african desserts, to my homeland at the lake of constance. Switzerland, Germany and Austria. And in my hand, the one and only niche camera you can buy for money. The beloved SIGMA dp0 Quattro with its 21mm world leading quality lens. It's gorgeous. Thats landscape photography is for. Go Chris, go!

A new, camera, the long awaited SIGMA fp FOVEON X3 fullframe camera, but not in February. Maybe in spring, when the Japanese cherry blossom shines in April.

Satyaa: @Chris, does this look like it's redesigned for ML (meaning, any smaller than DSLR version?) or, the same DSLR design with an adapter internally attached (judging by the size of it near the mounting end)?

Thanks!

PS: When you have the shoulder strap attached, why let it just dangle like that? Isn't it more risky as it could get stuck on something and pull down the camera (or you).

At the end of the live stage event.

What was his statement at the end about the development of the fullframe foveon sensor?

The snap focus system of the RICOH GR series, like zone focus on every manual lens with the metering engravement, is faster than the fastes autofocus system on the planet. Just simple. Sometimes less is more.

Choose what you like.

bluevellet: Multi-system/camera user here.

The OM-1 is my main camera. Despite "quirks", very nice to use. For photo and video. Even better if you have the right lenses.

Without the "right lenses", the camera is nothing.

Just my own piece of cent

;–)

Because the 1:2,0 lens is the "better lens" !
It is the ONE AND ONLY - if you like it and i like it very much.
Build quality, optically, mechanically, perfect size and weight.

The handling of the len and the results are gorgeous. Just perfect for me.
If you just need ONE LENS. Thats the wright one.

Take care, stay safe and have fun.

Professionals use SIGMA cameras on par with Hasselblad, Olympus, Leica and others.

Great!

I love it.

And now Mister Kazuto Yamaki, SIGMA CEO, lets reinvent the long awaited FOVEON 1:1:1 three layer sensor with 60 MP.
