RuthC: This photo has been stolen by you, nivethanavenugopalan, from a reputable photographer. This is dishonest and unacceptable behaviour, in DPR Challenges. RuthC
Oh indeed, nivethanavenugopalan has a multiple personality problem or maybe a false identey:

Just stumbled upon your rules and was surprised by
"rivers will not be permitted, as this is not considered a body of water"
Have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_of_water
"A body of water does not have to be still or contained; Rivers, streams, canals, and other geographical features where water moves from one place to another are also considered bodies of water."
I always thought a soap bubble is a soap bubble
and a balloon is a balloon - any child can tell!
Yes, it's not a flower!
A flower, sometimes known as a bloom or blossom, is the reproductive structure found in flowering plants (wikipedia).
I very much like this challenge, great theme!
And there have been lots of very nice examples submitted here!
But way can't people just stick to the rules???
- hey this is fun, not real life, you don't need to cheat!
But still most of you did not "provide EXIF data"! That was a rule ...
Way can't people read and/or follow the rules???
... photo depicting two (or more) contradicting elements in a single photo ...
***** Must say what are the contradictions ****
English is understood as an easy language and even if "contradiction" is not quit the right word for this challenge, it was mostly understood right.
But about 50% of participants fail in counting to two "contrasting" elements and naming them!
Will focus stacking be all right with your rules?
Need to plan on some holiday because I can't wait to see the exhibition in 2017(!!!) in Mannheim ...
(unknown member): uggh...
Well, this seems to be more experimental than expected!
May be, you should
- give us some 7 days more time
- raise the maximum number of entries per user up to 3,
- insert a rule that the used technique (number of frames(!), software etc.) must be described
That'll make it more like a workshop than a challenge,
but could be more fun and instructive.
