bereninga: Not really stealthy if it glows in the dark though. Isn't that the opposite?

Good idea, nice photos. I use only 2nd hand computer hardware and profit from very high quality IT systems just 3 years old and good for another 3 years of heavy use. at 1/6 the cost of a new system.

And by the way: Maybe it is time for ILASC - interchangeable lens and sensor cameras where replacement of the sensor-cpu-subsystem can be performed by users while the rest of the camera including well trained ergonomics stay ...

Camera makers will hate you for this idea!!! Less money means less profit!!!

If it is "sharp as hell" might be a ticket to Sony FF league for many ...:)

Bobthearch: $150 for some plastic pieces that can only be used on a few specific (and very expensive) lenses, what advantage does this method have over a slide/negative-capable flatbed scanner?

An Epson Perfection V600 costs only a little more than Nikon's plastic pieces.

The files from a flatbed scanner are huge and it takes forever to do it...

lawny13: For what it is not bad. But that is only looking at this particular cam ta.

Big picture this is disappointing. I was hoping for a FF anouncement finally. I have. Hope that canon would give me a reason to switch back from sony, but just as I lost patience waiting for a worthy upgrade to the 6D and switched to Sony they are still playing the same game. Even if I were enticed by this body my feeling and observation is that the M-lens lineup is lacking. Sony just announced the A7III to further confirm that I should stick with them.

I don’t care about 4K, but it is a good metric for performance. If the m50 was able to use PDAF during 4K for example, I would expect it to do the eye AF in AFC mode. The A7II doesn’t do it in AFC mode so I never use it cause it is almost completely useless the. (Therefore pretty much useless here too.)

Dont wait for anything, they all try hard to make us fools...imagine if they make cars we'd be driving Ford T's!!!

Big, heavy, pricey. I don't care about video so buying FF Ca-Ni-So is better option for me...
