Ian: Sad news...I love their software, but between the DxO ONE investment and the Nik purchase, I'm sure they were over-leveraged. I doubt the ONE was a big seller, or not as big as they'd hoped at least.

Too complicated software!

andrewD2: We had some really good sensors with very little issues well over 10 years ago and there are plenty of problem free models now. It seems amazing to me that people will buy expensive cameras with these problems. If no one bought them we'd see a rapid redesign.

They are great for strippers...:)

sknippen: This article is to provoke the "Fanboy" syndrome. You see a lot of black and white radical fanboy arguments where is stated that the other camera brand is rubbish. Shoot with brand you like but respect the competition. See it like this: Without competition we were still shooting with a cheap plastic 5 MP Camera that costs over 5 k. Competition drives technical evolution and the customer can benefit from that evolution with cheaper and more advanced camera's.

We need more competition!

While people love mirrorless, DSLR will be here for a long time!!!

Nick Brundle - Photography: When you buy a camera you want to buy the best available on your budget.
How can anyone in there right mind spend tons of money on a camera that creates "stripes" in the pics. A total mystery to me.

Sony doesn't mind...

JEROME NOLAS: Hardly. The path they (mostly Sony)are walking on is weird, expensive. DSLR will be with us another 100 years...

@mandm-you are absolutely right! Behind every "invention" is steep price hike and mirrorless is no exception. I have been "buying" 12-35 f2.8 for five years and didn't buy it yet...for the price of this lens I can have Nikon, Canon with some prime lenses and better IQ. Otherwise I enjoy my GX7 for the size and weight.

Who's buying all those cine lenses? With the crap they(movie directors etc.) are producing they should use pinholes..
