In reply to:

surlezi: No black out.
Totally silent.
Best in class AF (according to Northrup who compares it to D500).
Joystick + Touchscreen.
EVF.
Battery life OK.
Dual SD card, among which one UHSII.
Menu Ok with "my menu" and other improvements.
Need bigger grip: there an extension grip and a battery grip.
Glass partly here, more coming.
4K.
Presumably better Dynamic Range than Canon and Nikon counterparts.

There might be some downsides, but most issues are adressed, and lots of best in the class features.

This camera and its glass is perfect for wedding shooters.
The camera is great for sports shooters and glass is coming.
The Camera Store guys are convinced it will sell like hot cakes for wedding shooters. They also believe it's a milestone camera for mirrorless, as well as DSLR: the EVF is now better than OVF.
Slapping mirrors will forever have blackouts and vibrations issues limiting their fps.

Thank you for everything DSLR, and Rest In Peace.
Now let's enjoy a superior technology.

It's a Sony and they always screw up something, stay tuned!!!

Greg VdB: A fellow Belgian who works freelance for the newspaper I read. I approve!

More importantly: the consistency of the gallery, with dark accents in a white world, is very nice indeed: https://www.worldphoto.org/sony-world-photography-awards/winners-galleries/2017/professional/shortlisted/landscape/photographer
I wish I could see large prints of these.

Nice work!

Frank_BR: Why a soda can? A pinhole camera made out of a beer can would be much better.

And thirsty people will open "beer bottle" and expose the paper after just one day...

LiveFromPhilly: Why does the camera cost more in Canada but the film costs more in the United States?

For people living on US/Canada borders this is a great news...:)

Fuji got too excited on a recent instax wave and created this too expensive hybrid. I'll wait for analogue one. Instax wide owner.
PS. I don't like rhe design, too rounded. Make nice squared!!!

@HaimHadar-Thanks for the link, I just donated 10pounds to photo voice!
@Impulses- I did't mean to be mean, if it looks so sorry then...

balios: This seems incredibly obsolete on so many levels. The last time I used one of these was almost 20 years ago - filling a need that is now replaced by my ever-present phone.

You have to sell it on the proper spots.
"The cameras come with a built-in flash and Lomography says they are perfect for parties, road trips, weddings and similar occasions"
It can be lots of fun!!!

davids8560: The Canon G9X MARK II is clearly the winner at the moment if SMALLEST SIZE/BEST POSSIBLE IQ are the *sole* parameters.

(Those aren't the sole parameters for me, however)

But ask me again tomorrow, by all means!

Panasonic is a bit sharper but only when you view it at 100%

noflashplease: This looks like a repeat of the Lytro flop, albeit with 16 smartphone cameras crammed into something that looks like a 1990s Palm Pilot. It's clunky, chunky and doesn't have a chance as a standalone product. Maybe they can license their software? Hardware startups are always difficult.

I think this has better chance than Lytro. A different kind of camera! You can't compare it to anything else on the market, you can't put a DSLR or mirrorless to your jacket pocket, can you? So the only problem is the price,($100 for each lens) for me it has to be under 1K and it will not happen soon...

ABM Barry: DR Review/Wallmart/Amazon, Leica priced alcohol this week?

Leica priced butter would be the logical downward progression?

DPR is becomming much like a poor stock in a Bear market, ... keeps taking out the Low's.

Take it easy...whisky and photography, what else can be more creative!:)
