Holscen: This is another sad pr venture to get some attention for a brand that had made its excellent reputation with understated, simple and perfectly engineered cameras and lenses that is now being reduced to collaborating with naff bling brands and designers in the belief it will raise their profile. It may make a few bucks but it diminishes their credibility in my humble opinion. Zagato is engraved on that camera 10 times (it’s a mk10!), whose next Swarovski?

BMW...

cjcampbell: Kodak began losing market share when they never were able to come up with a successor to the Instamatic. Other camera manufacturers filled the void with better and more convenient cameras.

Do you really want to know who the new Kodak is? It is Apple. Apple's cameras dominate the market in the same way that Kodak once did. Kodak could have done that. They had the technology. They had all the pieces. They just never put them together.

They also had too many greedy fat cats...

Is this lens elements combo bokeh disaster? Read somewhere lens test of 200mm f 2,8?? with similar characteristics and bokeh was so bad, the lens was almost unusable!!!

JimSocks: i think the big problem here will be AF. i have the x-a5, it af ok with the kit zooms. but the other lenses i have, not so much. thats why i was hoping for xpro processor because you can at least improve cdaf af with a faster processor. use the kaizen thing they do, but it looks like they stuck the old processor from the xtrans 2 days.

They will improve AF in the next version...

visualenvy: For Sony to kill off any Nikon/Canon threat they must do the following.. now.

1. Ergonomics - fix those bodies!
2. Buttons - it has some but needs more. Also illuminate them.
3. Top LCD - similar to the GFX/X-H1
4. Dials - take away the Exposure Comp dial or remove the markings and leave it blank for customization... how about a mini LCD in the middle of the dial/s.
5. Weather sealing - Proper sealing that won't cause overheating.
6. Lenses - 300mm f4, 500mm f5.6.. $1800, $2500

Sony doesn't listen to anyone!

I agree, small, lightweight cameras with small lenses, 90mm max. Let's dream on!

New dream machine on the horizon? With new FF mirrorless from Nikon and Canon, others will have to work harder...
