Stefan Sobol: The cheapest filter listed is about 4x what I would be prepared to pay for a CP filter. What about testing filters for buyers in the real world?

It would never occur to me to pay $200 for a polarizing filter. That is just ridiculous for that average buyer. IMO a $200 filter is just some brand name ripoff (e.g. "Nikon" branded stuff). As shown in the test performed in the article, extra $ does not get you anything extra, except maybe bragging rights ("Oooh, look at me, I can afford to pay $200 for something that is worth $25.").

Isn't all in life about bragging rights? Unfortunately...

Richard Kwon: I hope she okayed the last picture... Most models do not like to see every single detail in their face... I hope she gave the ok to post it...

That's the disadvantage of superior sensors and lenses...

paulfulper: I wish they do this lens Sony A7.
It's sad the Tokina , Tamron , Sigma etc.. make almost no lens for Sony A7 even though it's selling a lot and mirrorless become more popular.
I'm adapting other brands lenses but I wish I had more fully automatic lenses made for Sony A7

to CCDFTW- you mean the one you have to take a bank loan for 10 years?

BadScience: hmm
whilst I am sure the quality is going to be incredible.

but
I can't quite see the point of using heavily processed (colour-adjusted) images to show how good the colour rendition of the camera is? The colours of the mud flats are generated in minutes in photoshop (or, err capture one...)

But your cat deserves the best and you want (the cat) to love you, don't you...? :)

justmeMN: "from an original price of $25,995" -DPR

The one person who bought the camera at that price is upset. :-)

I think pro photographers shouldn't be upset, they are charging lots of $ for their work. I am not saying they don't deserve it. But if you want a pro camera that lasts few decades you have to pay up!!! My opinion. Period.
